We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Macy Ziegler. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Macy below.
Alright, Macy thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. If you could go back in time do you wish you had started your creative career sooner or later?
I started becoming serious about my art career in early 2023. Before then, it was purely out of enjoyment. I wish I had started earlier because of the fun of making pieces that have the potential to sell. I enjoy creating pieces directed towards a specific audience, and learning what is most wanted when people purchase art. I wish I had started earlier because of my lack of experience. I am very new to selling art and am unfamiliar with how to get my art out there for more people to enjoy.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My name is Macy Ziegler, I am 17 years old, and have hopes of expanding my art career. I got into the art industry very recently, I participated in my first art show this past summer. I project my art to a more western style group. I paint different farm animals, and landscapes. I mostly paint, but also make unique ceramics. I make ceramic cowboy boots, ceramic overall plant potters, and fun vases. I think my art is set apart from others because of my age, and how my work is directed towards an age group of not my own. I am most proud of my monochromatic paintings of cows, I hope those who enjoy my art enjoy it as much as I do.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
I am hoping to expand my art to a bigger audience. I have dreamed of many enjoying my art, and I am motivated to share it beyond those I know.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
It is very rewarding to complete a piece and feel content with it. It makes me feel complete and accomplished and I think that is the most rewarding aspect of being an artist.
