We were lucky to catch up with Lord Phly recently and have shared our conversation below.

Lord , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Almost all entrepreneurs have had to decide whether to start now or later? There are always pros and cons for waiting and so we’d love to hear what you think about your decision in retrospect. If you could go back in time, would you have started your business sooner, later or at the exact time you started?

At times the thought definitely crosses my mind, wishing I began a little sooner, yet when I actually think and reflect I see it’s more of focusing on the small details of the business that began to grow around me! As LordPhly is been all about impacting, inspiring and motivating people, not paying attention to the business of that and how much Value began to be accumulated around me, yet not having a focus toward it; Not planning for the growth and consistency of what was to come is more of what I wish I had taken care of early! With that being said I wouldn’t change things, I’m not one of regrets, it’s all about Learning To Know So You Can Be Your Dopest Self! Everything experienced I learned from so I can apply it moving forward, and in its own way set the brand up to prosper that much more because the focus early wasn’t financial, was about growing the right way so when the money comes there’s understanding on how to handle it!

LordPhly Came about due to my purpose in life becoming more clear because of my experiences and challenges faced over the years, Believing and Understanding That practicing what I planned to preach was key, Learning In order To Know So I could Be, Embracing Time as a Luxury, Understanding Perception, Asking Myself the simplest of questions in order to gain answers to move forward; Who What When Where Why & How…

My purpose is to Create & Inspire Individuals, Using Artwork as a tool to touch young DOPE SOULS! I Provide an outlet for Creativity and Self Awareness. I inspire and motivate individuals to pursue their greatness utilizing their own gifts! I seek to bridge the gaps among people from various backgrounds and walks of life while bringing awareness to something that opens the door to things that exist such as Communication, Comprehension and Understanding!

My mission is to create and inspire fearlessly, relentlessly, and Limitlessly, being the vessel to spread a message and mindset to Be UNAPOLOGETICALLY YOURSELF! I connect with others to Drive Out Purpose Expeditiously.. (D.O.P.E)

My Vision Is to create a culture of unapologetically DOPE SOULS, where people of all ages are able to Learn & Develop in order to become more aware of themselves so they can Be their true selves while connecting with leaders within the industries they’d like to pursue!

Ive created a production company which houses some of the most extraordinary people , whose focus is to produce projects in various arenas , such as TV and Film Production, Art Exhibits, Digital Content and more. I will continue to connect the world world to provide Inspiration, Motivation, and Growth To all and change the world with the message NEVER APOLOGIZE FOR BEING DOPE! (#nAFbDOPE)

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

Truth be told I still have to learn and stay on top of things to continue to build my social media! Everyday there’s a new platform, a new tool to be able to add more awareness, context, and value to your brand; the things I’ve learned works best is consistency! No matter what being direct about what you want to be seen as well as what you don’t want to be seen, stay in control of your narrative and stay engaged with the people you begin to connect with. Don’t chase views or follows, focus on the things the platform provides and be specific with how you provide your content! Never forget that social media is a TOOL, something to aid you, not take over your life, not provide everything for you, it’s a tool, so use it not be used by it! Use the hammer to hammer, not to screw nails, that a screwdriver, so know and understand the tools to best be served by them!

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
