Lolita, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s start with a story that highlights an important way in which your brand diverges from the industry standard.
I started The Personifi Group with the vision of helping individuals discover their personal brand and teaching them how to monetize on their brand for optimal success. Our mission at Personifi is to work on personalized brand development. We understand that every person is different, every story is personal, and every vision is unique. The industry standard in brand development often focuses on the “groups of individuals,” vs. “each individual.” The Personifi Group gets to the core of the brand by personalizing your brand story and vision. There are many brands and businesses who focus on marketing techniques, but the very successful ones invest in brand development. One of the first steps in understanding your personal brand is to schedule a comprehensive brand analysis. Through the brand analysis we sit down with each individual and thoroughly assess your who, what, where, why and how behind your brand. Essentially who you are, why you do what you do and how you can improve and get better. It’s not about how good your brand is, it’s about how much better your brand can be.
The Personifi Group utilizes creative marketing techniques, innovative content design to convey your brand story to your target audience. In addition, we train business owners, civic leaders, non-profit leaders, and others how to verbally explain their services and products through oratory delivery training. Furthermore, we offer our clients an opportunity to tell their brand story via one of our two podcast programs – The Art of Using Your Personal Brand and Politics Personified. The podcasts are broadcast LIVE through Instagram and are available for replay via our YouTube channel. Our clients have found much success in their brand development because of our personalized approach. No two persons are the same, so no two brand strategies should be also.

I started The Personifi Group – a personal brand development firm, in August of 2014. During this time, I was working in higher education as a Recruiter in Marketing and Admissions. I absolutely loved helping individuals understand their passions while connecting their interest to a degree in higher education. I worked in higher education for almost 20 years and developed hands-on experience in personal brand development while working with individual students. As a Creative I was always developing new and innovative marketing ideas to enhance the brand and image of the university. However, working within the confines of a corporate regime I was limited to my creative genius. Hence, I founded The Personifi Group, so that I could continue to help individuals become the best version of themselves through personal brand development. The Personifi Group offers solutions for brand development through the following services: Brand Analysis Plan, Strategic Communication Plan, Innovative Content Design, Creative Marketing, Oratory Delivery, Web Refresh, and Image Consultation. We believe that every client is different, every story is personal, and every vision is unique; therefore, we create personalized brand development plans for each of our clients. Through our exceptional services we can provide our clients the best possible solution to enhance their brand. I am proud to have worked with some amazing clients who some happen to be local elected officials, non-profit leaders, and corporate executives. However, I am most proud about the way The Personifi Group has been able to pivot and transition through the upswing of social media, social distancing, and remote working over the years. Many of our clients have had to rebrand themselves and dig deep to discover gifts and talents that were dormant or unexplored. Our personalized and comprehensive brand development plans were able to help them understand who they are and what tools to use to get maximum results. Our motto is, “It Starts with a Vision,” and we’d love to learn more about your vision and turn it into reality. The first step is to tell your story. After all, there is a is a story behind every brand.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I created my social media accounts immediately after starting The Personifi Group in 2014. However, social media branding was not as relevant as it is today. I initially would invite close friends and associates to follow my business pages because I was uncertain about how I wanted to manage my pages. Full transparency I did not initially focus on growing my audience via social media because at the time The Personifi Group was a side hustle. And word of mouth generated a good deal of clients. However, once I started operating under a full-time capacity, in 2021 I have strategically and authentically built my audience through consistency and relevant content. Followers want to see consistency and hear relevant content that will benefit them. Once you develop your true niche, content, and target audience the final step is consistency. Your followers need for you to show up consistency – whether 3x a week or 7 days a week. Remember consistency builds trust with your followers. If you remain consistent with relevant content your audience will grow.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
When I started The Personifi Group in 2014 it was a side hustle. My vision at the time was primarily focused on helping entrepreneurs and aspiring business owners build their personal brand. Fast forward to 2021 my services were requested to assist several elected officials with their campaign brand development. Although my graduate degree is in Political Management, and I aspired to work on Capitol Hill many moons ago I had not planned to incorporate politics in my business. However, after my brand development work with my initial political clients – word of mouth spread and the interest for campaign brand development grew. It was time to pivot and refresh myself on the world of civic leadership. Initially it was intimidating to incorporate such a sensitive and taboo area of concentration into my business, but just like the weather changes with every season, so does a client’s need. As entrepreneurs or small business owners it is important to be ready in season and out of season. New opportunities are just a referral away -so I am learning to be prepared for the shift to meet the needs of my clients.
