Liyah, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What do you think Corporate America gets wrong in your industry?
One major misconception Corporate America promotes is the idea that tarot reading and spirituality are “demonic.” This narrative not only alienates people from exploring their spiritual side but also deters them from discovering their truth and life purpose. By framing spirituality in this negative light, they contribute to keeping individuals trapped in a cycle of consumerism and societal expectations, preventing them from realizing the immense power of their own minds.
In reality, spirituality is about inner peace, self-love, and embracing the joy life has to offer. It’s about shifting from mere survival to truly living—finding fulfillment, purpose, and connection. Ironically, many of the practices labeled as “demonic” are already widely accepted and celebrated in various forms; they’re just misunderstood or misrepresented.
A personal experience that highlights this misunderstanding is my relationship with my grandfather, who is a pastor. Naturally, our paths have led to some tension. I’ve explained to him that, at our core, we’re both messengers delivering guidance from a higher power—just in different ways. He speaks from the pulpit, and I use tarot as a tool for insight and clarity. While he still disagrees due to a more traditional perspective, this conversation underscores a larger issue: spirituality isn’t one-size-fits-all, and dismissing it based on fear or misunderstanding only limits people’s potential for growth.

Liyah, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
For those who may not know me, I’m a lifelong spiritualist, and my journey into this field has been deeply personal and transformative. My spiritual awakening began in childhood when I had profound experiences communicating with my brother who passed away before I was born. I could see him as clearly as day, and he became the catalyst for keeping my third eye open. Unlike many, my family embraced my spiritual side, allowing me to explore it freely. This early exposure led me to discover astrology, tarot, botanica stores, and the inherent magic within life and the human mind.
Staying disciplined in my business comes naturally because it never feels like work—it’s fun and fulfilling. Unlike past ventures where I’d start with enthusiasm but lose interest, this business has been different. It’s a passion that I’ve stuck with for years because it resonates deeply with who I am.
My main offering is tarot readings, but I’ve recently expanded my shop to include a variety of spiritual products. On my website, I sell beeswax candles, bath and foot soaks, oils, and jewelry—all curated to enhance my clients’ spiritual journeys.
What sets me apart is my holistic support, inclusive approach, and the fact that I’m a teen entrepreneur making waves in the spiritual space. My clients seek guidance on a wide range of topics—spirituality, finances, love, and general life advice. In many ways, I serve as a spiritual life coach, offering insights that go beyond traditional tarot readings. What truly makes my approach unique is my commitment to helping anyone who feels drawn to me, regardless of their background or challenges. I don’t judge—I step into my clients’ shoes to understand their perspectives and provide compassionate, personalized guidance. My age brings a fresh, modern perspective to spiritual guidance, proving that wisdom isn’t tied to years but to experience and empathy.
One of my proudest achievements is how far I’ve come and the community I’ve built along the way. Running this business entirely on my own has been incredibly rewarding. I wear all the hats: the boss, customer support, social media marketer, and everything in between. It’s empowering to see how much I’ve grown, and I’m grateful for every step of the journey.
To my current and future clients, followers, and fans: I want you to know that my work comes from a place of genuine passion and purpose. My goal is to create a welcoming space where you can find clarity, comfort, and guidance—no matter where you are in your life’s journey.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Balancing high school, personal challenges, and running a business tested my resilience in ways I never imagined. There was a period when I was dealing with a legal issue while still striving to stay attentive to my clients. Taking a break wasn’t an option—I had been running my business for a year, fully independent, and hadn’t asked my mom for financial support in a long time. Although I knew she would have helped, my pride and guilt held me back. I was already stressing her out with the consequences of my decisions at school, which led to me being banned from my first high school.
Despite the chaos, I still had responsibilities: paying my phone bill, buying supplies, and covering school-related expenses. I kept my business going—posting consistently, providing readings, and supporting my clients through their challenges—all while navigating my own. Thankfully, the charges were eventually dropped due to the situation being a misunderstanding, and nothing was added to my record since I had no prior issues. However, that period taught me one of the most valuable lessons: I don’t have to carry everything on my back. There’s strength in seeking help, and people are willing to support you if you let them.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
One of the biggest lessons I had to unlearn was believing that my age would hold me back or make people hesitant to do business with me. I used to worry that being a teen entrepreneur would lead others to doubt my capabilities or take me less seriously. However, I quickly realized that my age is actually an asset. People are often impressed by my ambition and dedication at such a young age, and many find it inspiring.
In fact, my journey has motivated my peers and supporters, showing them that if you put your mind to something, you can achieve it—regardless of your age. This experience taught me that age is just a number, but knowledge, wisdom, and determination are what truly make an impact. Letting go of that limiting belief allowed me to step into my role confidently and connect with my clients on a deeper level.
