Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Litzy Cobon. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Litzy thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Do you manage your own social media?
Hello thank you for having me here today and give me a platform to share my business. I do manage my own social media and create my own content. When I first started my business mid pandemic social media became everyone’s portfolio and business card, so from the start I knew I had to take advantage of the resources I had I knew it was a way to share my talent.
It hasn’t been easy and even till this day I wouldn’t say my content is where I want it to be now but personally I’m a very picky person and I don’t think I could let someone else manage my pages or create my content, just because I like things to be done a certain way and if it doesn’t come out good then I can only blame myself.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Yes of course. My name is litzy cobon i am a 21 year old eyebrow artist and owner of FLUTTER BEAUTY, a private brow studio located in Victorville California where I work by myself. I’ve been in the brow game for 3 years now and I started when I was only 18 years old, I specialize on brows and offers services like lamination, tinting, waxing, threading and lash lifts. I focus on natural brow styling and restoration using my mapping method to achieve ultimate symmetry and results. I take pride in what i do and am very detailed and passionate about what I do which I feel that sets me apart from the conventional brow shops, to me it goes beyond just an appointment, I care for my clients and their brows and creating a safe environment and connection with them is my main priority.

Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
YouTube has been a platform where I’ve learned everything I know from how to get clients, elevate experience, promote myself amongst other tips. Everything I know I’ve learned because of someone who created Content on YouTube was willing to share one day, and my goal was always to one day, be able to produce educational content for people who are just starting, or might feel lost. in order to succeed you need to consume content that’s beneficial for you and your business so I started a podcast on YouTube called Flutter Beauty After Hours where I’ll be sharing my tips of how I was able to get to where I am today I also have guests from different areas of the beauty industry to come and share their stories to inspire anybody who might be thinking of being part and starting their own business. We all go through ups and downs, but you’re not alone we touch on subjects that some artists/professionals might be too scared because some topics are controversial but we are here to uplift and encourage everyone without bashing, this podcast is a safe space!

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Yes, this is actually one of the topics we touch on the podcast. But I always tell everyone don’t let following foul you because having little followers doesn’t mean someone’s work is not good, as well as having lots of followers doesn’t mean that someone is fully booked, followers are just numbers and although it’s good to have an audience Don’t get discouraged if it takes you a long time to build your numbers. However, like I said, social media is your business card and your portfolio so using it to your advantage and knowing when to post and what to post could help you attract new clients and generate you more revenue. One of my biggest tips is having a bio with all the information that client might need like: what do you do, your name, location, things you specialize and a booking site or how to contact you to book an appointment. Another tip is posting reels instead of pictures. Specially, because Instagram pushes out more video content then pictures nowadays also remember to use trending sounds! The third tip would be use hashtags related to the city you’re located for example, #VictorvilleBrows this is how most of my clients were able to find me and last, but not least show your face! I know it might be a little intimidating, but showing your audience who you are gives your business personification, and people are more likely to book with someone who shows who they are, and who they can relate to so showing your personality online will attract clients.
