We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Linda Anukwuem. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Linda below.
Alright, Linda thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
At AIX Firm, we believe in the power of strategic collaboration to drive transformation. Our mission is to bring together a diverse network of creative minds to unravel challenges, develop forward-thinking solutions, and create impactful engagements—especially in diaspora relations, large-scale conferences, and cultural festivals.
Our expertise is evident in past events like the Fidelity International Trade & Creative Connect Conference, where we curated a platform that bridged Nigerian entrepreneurs with global markets. By fostering connections between industry leaders, investors, and creatives, we helped shape an ecosystem that promotes international trade, business growth, and cultural exchange.
This is what we do—beyond planning events, we design experiences that spark dialogue, foster economic growth, and create lasting impact. Whether it’s a trade conference that accelerates international business, a high-level financial forum that drives policy discussions, or a cultural festival that strengthens diasporic ties, AIX Firm is committed to shaping interactions that inspire action and create lasting change.
At AIX Firm, we turn ideas into experiences, and experiences into transformation.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I am passionate about creating meaningful connections through event management, strategic consulting, and cultural advocacy, particularly within the Nigerian and African communities. My work has taken me from organizing high-profile events to fostering business relationships and championing African culture on a global stage.
With a background in accounting, I began my career at Bracewell & Giuliani, LLP and United Airlines in Downtown Houston. However, my calling led me beyond numbers—to building bridges between communities, businesses, and cultures.
One of my most impactful roles was serving as Chair of the City of Houston’s Mayor’s International Trade & Development Council for Africa (MITDC-Africa) under Mayor Annise Parker. In this capacity, I facilitated key dialogues between Houston’s international business community, visiting African delegations, and city government—unlocking economic, educational, and tourism opportunities. This experience became the foundation for something greater: in 2017, I launched AIX Firm, LLC, with a mission to tackle challenges, craft forward-thinking solutions, and create impactful engagements—particularly in diaspora relations, large-scale conferences, and cultural festivals.
My early projects centered on the oil and gas sector, forming strategic partnerships with local manufacturers and SMEs in Nigeria, in collaboration with Sweetcrude Reports and the Nigerian Content Development & Monitoring Board. Over time, my work expanded to diplomatic engagements, and I’ve had the honor of hosting Nigerian Governors, a former President, and a former Vice President in Houston.
What I value most in my journey is resilience, consistency, and the lessons learned along the way. One of my proudest accomplishments is publishing two editions of “Who’s Who Diaspora: The Nigerian Story”, a book celebrating the remarkable contributions of Nigerians in the diaspora. With the unwavering support of my team, we look forward to bringing the third edition to life soon.
At the heart of it all, my mission remains clear: to bridge cultural gaps, amplify African heritage, and create spaces where our stories are told, honored, and celebrated on a global scale.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
When I unexpectedly left corporate America, stepping into the world of entrepreneurship was both terrifying and rewarding. The real challenge wasn’t just about building a business—it was about finding the resilience within myself to push forward. Success in this space demands determination, adaptability, and a willingness to learn, and I had to decide just how far I was willing to go.
Every opportunity has been a stepping stone to the next. One of my early projects involved tracking the progress of fabrication projects for an out-of-state company. At the time, my oil and gas terminology was limited, but I saw it as a chance to grow. I took the initiative to meet with plant managers, tour facilities, and immerse myself in the process—from fabrication to testing and final certifications.
What started as a learning experience evolved into something much bigger. The knowledge I gained not only expanded my expertise but also opened doors to long-term collaborations that continue to shape my journey.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
The most powerful way my firm gains new clients is through word of mouth and referrals from past and current clients. Their trust and recommendations have been invaluable. However, I’ve also found that sharing insights, project highlights, and event recaps on social media and my website helps showcase my work and attract new opportunities. Consistently telling my story and sharing successes has played a key role in building credibility and winning over new clients.
