Lee & Jessica, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Taking care of customers isn’t just good business – it is often one of the main reasons folks went into business in the first place. So, we’d love to get a conversation going around how to best help clients feel appreciated – maybe you can share something you’ve done or seen someone do that’s been really effective at helping a customer feel valued?
We know our clients work hard and have busy schedules. Everyone’s time is so precious. So we have hand delivered products to our clients either at home or work that they have ordered so that they don’t have to make a special trip to the spa.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My partner, Jessica, and myself own a Med Spa in uptown Shelby, NC. We offer services such as Hydrafacials, Botox, filler, chemical peels, microneedling, etc. We have become known in the community for our monthly events! We dedicate either a Friday evening or Saturday once monthly to offer specials and have special vendors come to the spa to offer their services along with ours at the spa. We have food and it is just a really good time to connect.
How’d you meet your business partner?
Jessica and I met while working together as RNs. She actually hired me! We had on the same shoes and the rest is history! We worked together for years and when I took another opportunity, we remained close and began working on the concept of our business.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
We became members of our local Chamber of Commerce. I think that really added validity to our business. We began attending lunches and dinners offered by the Chamber. We also love to support the other local businesses by attending their ribbon cutting events!
