LeAndra, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?

Crafts by Le was started in December 2017 after I decided to make myself a holiday wreath for my favorite holiday (Christmas). Once I posted my creation on social media, I received several inquires about making similar wreath designs as well as custom wreaths for others. After my first time crafting for someone else and seeing their reaction to the finished product and once my designs became more and more popular I knew I wanted to pursue crafting as more than a hobby and decided I should make this an actual business being that it’s something that I’m great at doing and I also enjoy. I’ve always loved decorating and creating things so creating beautiful wreaths was something that I was naturally good at..

LeAndra, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

Hello readers, I’m LeAndra, Owner of Crafts by Le where we are mostly known for providing custom wreath designs for all teams, themes and occasions, however, we offer centerpieces, holiday decor (tree decorating) and more. We specialize in mesh-style wreath designs, but also offer traditional, grapevine and diaper wreaths as well. What sets Crafts by Le apart from most wreath businesses is our dedication to quality over quantity. I make sure each and every product is made with love and creativity all while providing long-lasting beauty. Making Crafts by Le an actual business has been a pretty smooth road however, like all businesses, there have been a few obstacles to overcome. As with any other business I had to go through learning struggles. I had to find the best products to make lasting wreaths that weren’t just pretty to look at but also were made with quality materials that would hold up over time. I had to do research on current pricing in the market and also make sure that I was pricing my creations based on my worth and not what I thought people wanted to pay. Eventually, I figured out the best products for my crafts and also a pricing system that was affordable for my customers as well as what I felt my products are worth. For me, success is defined by customer satisfaction. It is my goal to not only meet, but exceed every customer’s expectations and every time I do so I call that a success.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

For me, building a social media audience wasn’t necessarily a difficult task. I started out posting content on my personal page in the beginning because I already had a large following and once I felt like I had a large amount of interest I create a business page on Facebook, started posting content to that page and made several different post at different times asking my friends on my personal page to like, follow and share my business page. I also, made sure to add visuals to all of my post involving my crafting, did raffles to get more movement to the page and peak interest because who doesn’t love winning a raffle? I always made it a point to respond promptly to any comments or questions as well.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

For me, the most rewarding aspect of being a creative and crafting is that I get to do what I love and make people happy in the process. Whether it just be a simple everyday wreath or a wreath for a cause (breast cancer survivor, autism awareness, etc.) my customers love to see the final products and appreciate the amount of love and quality I put into each individual project. Knowing that I can help someone bring their vision to life and brighten their entrance way or certain area in their home is extremely rewarding.
