We were lucky to catch up with Laylaa Peachy recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Laylaa, thanks for joining us today. Have you signed with an agent or manager? Why or why not?
In August 2023, I signed with a modeling and entertainment agent. I had been searching for one for a couple of months before that because I was new to North Carolina and needed direction and guidance. Before signing, I had never done professional photoshoots and had only taken occasional entertainment bookings.
I found Mr. G at Ija’ney Paradise Models through Instagram and reached out to discuss what he offered. Our conversation was great, and I left feeling inspired. Afterward, I sent him the photos and materials he requested, and he offered me a spot on his roster!
It’s been over a year since that moment, and in that time, I’ve grown professionally, and my confidence has skyrocketed. One of my favorite things about IPM is the portfolio photoshoots with their in-house photographer, @FAOStudio. Coach helps us develop our modeling skills and even gives me guidance on my social media presence. He also shot my first magazine photoshoot.
I’m so grateful for all the opportunities IPM has given me—from personal development and photoshoots to event bookings, and most recently, my debut as an actress in an upcoming film!

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
It’s hard for me to put one title on what I do because I love to do it all. I’m a modeling, entertainer, content creator, and I do freelance marketing. I have the ability to creatively visualize things and make them appear into the world. I love to help others so I help other creators grow their social medias, gain confidence in themselves, and put themselves out there in the world unapologetically.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I originally created my Instagram in 2023 when I was working as an entertainer at a club in Charlotte, so clients could keep up with me and find me when I was working. I followed a lot of local pages and stayed active by interacting with people. My page started growing quickly, and I realized that social media could be another way to make money. I joined groups on Telegram and X (Twitter), where people would share a post, and others would repost it on their story with your handle. These repost groups definitely helped boost my follower count significantly.
For those looking to grow their Instagram accounts organically, here’s my advice:
1. Be Consistent: Posting regularly is key to staying visible. Whether it’s daily or a few times a week, create a schedule and stick to it. It keeps your audience engaged and shows that you’re active.
2. Engage with Your Audience: It’s not enough to post content—you also need to interact. Respond to comments, reply to DMs, and engage with your followers’ posts. Building real connections helps grow loyalty and boosts engagement.
3. Use Hashtags and Location Tags: Use relevant hashtags in your niche and tag your location to increase discoverability. Instagram’s algorithm can push your content to people interested in those hashtags or local to that area.
4. Collaborate with Others: Working with influencers, brands, or other creators can expose you to a larger audience. Give shoutouts, do joint posts, or collaborate on giveaways.
5. Leverage Instagram Stories and Reels: Reels have massive reach potential. Create engaging, high-quality Reels, and use Stories to maintain constant interaction. Polls, Q&As, and behind-the-scenes content are great ways to engage your audience.
6. Be Authentic: People love realness on social media. Share both highlights and struggles to build trust with your followers. Authentic content resonates better and fosters a stronger connection.
7. Track Your Analytics: Keep an eye on your Instagram insights. This data helps you understand what content works best, what time your audience is most active, and how you can improve your strategy.
Growing organically takes time, but it’s better to have a community of real, engaged followers than to pay for bots. The goal is to create a sustainable and active following that can support your long-term success.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
I am learning to love myself and embrace who I am without holding back. In an age where social media puts everyone under a microscope, it can be challenging not to overthink every decision or second-guess what I share. But I’ve come to realize that the key is self-acceptance. Once you accept yourself, the opinions of others no longer hold the same weight—what truly matters is how you see yourself. It’s a daily journey, but I believe I’m moving in the right direction.
