Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Lauren Soler. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Lauren, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s start with the decision of whether to donate a percentage of sales to an organization or cause – we’d love to hear the backstory of how you thought through this.
We have donated to children’s miracle network, multiple veterans events, and have done fundraising events for specific individuals in need. most of the time we are asked to be there so as far as choosing the events goes, I guess you could say they choose us! Generally, we donate 10% of our sales.

Lauren, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Lauren Soler, my husband also my Chef is Manny Soler. We have both worked in hospitality for over 20 years. We’ve long wanted a mobile food business and a little over two years ago, it was able to come to fruition! Since it is just the two of us working the business (sometimes with family help) We are able to do what we want with the menu, which makes it super fun! That being said, smash burgers have proven to be the items we are best known for. We do also try to run a special monthly, ya know something different.
Additionally, we cater and serve private parties as well.
All of our food is prepped fresh, never frozen meat and we make all our sauces from scratch. We put a lot of love into our product and serve people what we would want to eat. We are super proud of what we have built and love serving our customers aka our flamingos🦩❤️

Can you open up about a time when you had a really close call with the business?
Since we are a food trailer in Florida, the summers are brutal! The first summer that we had to work through was the toughest not just because of the heat, We were brand new and striving to be a busy Mobile food business. A lot of snowbirds headed back up north to get away from the heat, and the rain really put a damper on our schedule. So a decline in people and the weather made it extremely tough to survive that first summer, but we persevered by God‘s grace and worked as hard as we could and made it!

We’d love to hear about how you met your business partner.
I met my husband ( Chef Manny Soler ) 22 years ago because our parents were friends. His mother asked me to pick him up from the airport to do her favor, and I said sure! We became friends and I’ve never separated since then ❤️🙏
