LaNyja, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’ve love to hear an interesting investment story – what was one of the best or worst investments you’ve made? (Note, these responses are only intended as entertainment and shouldn’t be construed as investment advice)

The Best Investment that I made is to cultivate the seeds of gifts that was already planted in me from birth. It’s something about being an artist- you can see the potential of a thing and formulate a plan to execute the vision. I had to do that for myself. See me as the masterpiece that had to be shizzled, molded, sculpted, sanded, and polished. I invested time, money, and resources into furthering my education as an artist, invested in higher quality supplies so my techiniques can produce great work, I went to out of state leadership seminars and business conferences allowing me to be educated by the wealthy as I pursued new levels of success. These investments in myself does not expire and the confidence that it gave me as I discovered myself and what I can offer the world. Is priceless. I am my best investment.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I am LaNyja Bright, here to empower, inspire, and ignite the world. I do that through art, speaking, and teaching. Being More than a Conqueror, I knew that I needed to empower the world especially those who have survived physical and sexual trauma as I have. I knew I needed to create images, artwork, something tangible that people can see and feel and be encouraged. This world has alot of darkness and as LaNyja Bright I identify as the Light. Whether I’m speaking about Joy After Trauma or creating I AM AFFIRMATION PORTRAITS- I am able to use the gift of artistry, the Godly knowledge of who God called us to be, and inspire the world to see themselves as GREAT AS THEY ARE AFTER THE WORLD HAS TRIED TO MAKE THEM FEEL UNWORTHY. What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?

EMPOWER, INSPIRE, AND IGNITE THE WORLD. That’s my mission. Its so easy to create artwork thats just pretty- but to be able to show someone else their beauty that you see, to help people see their value that can give them a reason to live, a way to see why they are special, that’s worth painting for. That is worth the long hours, the cost of supplies, like all of this is worth it when you know the mission, the brand, the goal is saving lives. LaNyja Bright I am here to EMPOWER, INSPIRE, AND IGNITE THE WORLD.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

The most rewarding aspect of being an artist for me is hearing how my work of art gave someone else hope. Hope is one of the best things to give someone. To hear “I saw this piece and I saw myself…” followed up with a background story, is a true experience that I hope I get to experience for the rest of my life. It gives me purpose.
