Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kyndall Owens. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Kyndall, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today The first dollar you earn is always exciting – it’s like the start of a new chapter and so we’d love to hear about the first time you sold or generated revenue from your creative work?
The first dollar I earned from my art is something I’ll always remember. I was around 16, sharing my work mostly with family and usually giving pieces away for free. One day, I showed a lion portrait I had painted, and my cousin loved the piece so much that he asked about the price.
That question caught me off guard because I never really considered pricing my work. After a moment, I said $50, and he agreed without hesitation. In that instant, something shifted for me. It wasn’t just about the money, but the realization that my art had real value to someone else.
That first sale gave me a new sense of confidence and made me believe I could build a future as an artist.

Kyndall, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m a visual artist, and creating has been a part of who I am for as long as I can remember. Some of my earliest memories involve sketching and painting, whether it was doodling in church or handing my drawings to others just to see them smile. That feeling of bringing joy to people through art has stayed with me, and it’s the reason I continue to create today.
Over the years, my passion has grown into a thriving art business. I specialize in custom artwork that tells a story and captures meaningful moments for my clients. I also offer live painting at events, everything from weddings to fundraisers, which allows me to create something truly special in real time. In addition, I host paint classes, where I get to share my love for art and help others tap into their own creativity in a fun and welcoming environment.
What sets my work apart is the intention behind it. Every piece I create is rooted in faith, connection, and the desire to make people feel joy and inspiration. I’m not just creating art; I’m creating experiences and memories that people can hold onto.
I’m most proud of how much my business has grown and the opportunities that have come with it, many of which I once thought were out of reach. I’m so grateful for the support I’ve received along the way, and I hope my journey encourages others to believe in themselves. I want my clients and supporters to know that anything is possible when you pursue your passion with faith, dedication, and heart.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect of being an artist is the ability to express myself in ways that go beyond words. Art allows me to communicate emotions, ideas, and stories on a deeper level, bringing meaning to things that can’t always be said out loud. I love being able to create pieces that capture special moments, evoke feelings, and turn unseen ideas into something real.
More than anything, the greatest reward comes from sharing my God-given gift with the world and using it to bring joy to others. Knowing that my work can uplift someone, make them feel something, or create a lasting memory is what makes it all worthwhile.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
To me, art is a ministry. My purpose has changed over the years. What started as simply creating to bring people joy eventually became about building a business. But today, my mission is much deeper.
I create to inspire others to pursue their God-given gifts, even on the days when it feels difficult or uncertain. I want people to see that creativity is not just talent, it’s purpose. Through my work, I hope to encourage others to step out in faith, embrace what they’ve been called to do, and not give up on their passions.
Ultimately, my goal is to share my gift in a way that not only inspires creativity, but also draws people closer to their faith.
