We were lucky to catch up with KymBerli Dee recently and have shared our conversation below.

KymBerli , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?

I knew at an early age that I wanted to be an entertainer. I think around the age of 7-8 years old, my cousin and I would put on skits for the family, at the holiday gatherings. And seeing my family laugh gave me such a high! I was addicted to that feeling ever since and I never turned back.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

I’m KymBerli Dee and I’m a vocalist and comedic actress. I stress comedic because I’m always ready to make someone laugh (ha, ha!). I have been performing, professionally, for 20+ years. My late mother was my forefront, in getting my feet wet in the industry. She entered me in various showcases and plays. She also made sure I was properly trained and signed me up for classes as well as workshops. I also attended a performing arts highschool. So, I have her to thank for that.

I perform for festivals, private events, corporate events, etc. I specialize in Neo-Soul, R&B, Trap-Soul and Contemporary Jazz. So if you are ever In need of a singer for your event, that will keep the crowd engaged and hyped up, I’m here!

I have been featured in major and independent films as well. I believe what sets me apart from the norm is that I really pour my soul into my craft. I know that sounds cliche, but I literally give so much to my performance, whether I’m acting or singing. As far as I’m concerned, that’s the only way to leave a lasting impression on the people you are entertaining.

I’m especially proud of my most recent shows called “Save The Video Store” and “Save The Video Store 2.0”. Such an amazing director and cast that brought this show together! I also was recently featured in the film “Wish” that will soon be on Tubi.

I want everyone to know that my mission is to give quality entertainment that leaves a meaningful impact, legacy and a fun memory.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

The most rewarding aspect for me, is the joy I get from making others smile. Like I literally live for those moments. When people come to me after a show and let me know how I’ve uplifted them or made them forget about their troubles, that’s it for me! That’s what really counts!

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?

The goal that drives me is my success! I want to continue to be successful. Not rich or famous, but successful, so that I can leave a legacy for my family and others that are watching me. I also want to inspire others to never give up on their dreams and thrive! That’s my mission and my journey will never stop!
