Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kyle Cahall. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Kyle thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to go back in time and hear the story of how you came up with the name of your brand?
Honestly I have had multiple iterations of my company throughout the years and I had a different one chosen before Covid came into our lives. That name fit my current logo and took me over a year to come up with. Long story short I waited and someone snagged the social media. So I went with my name. I would suggest to anyone trying to brand anything when you find that aha brand name; Don’t hesitate.
In terms of Atlanta’s market with the type of content and clients I had been working for, I chose my last name. With the market being so competitive you are ultimately selling yourself and your brand so I went simple. Some people go a little too crazy and then they have to create what that brand image is and it sometimes works but ultimately it can be a lot harder.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Where to start? I suppose I should start with that my name is Kyle Cahall. I am the founder of Cahall Media LLC. By trade I am a Director of Photography and Photographer from Southwestern Colorado but based in Atlanta Georgia. Primarily I produce and direct marketing content for small and large businesses. Cahall Media as a company focuses on Marketing Content Creation from event coverage to custom personalized story pieces for a myriad companies such as Mercedes, Bridgestone, Facebook as well as smaller companies such as Garland Mountain Sporting Clays and Grill.
Really as a Company I have been trying to really focus on branded stories and testimonials I suppose you could call mini documentaries that relate back to the consumer. But ultimately Cahall Media is a content creator. We strive to create branded content that gives a business a look and feel that makes them pop and thrive. We also focus on not cutting corners that cheapen a brand.
Honestly I feel what makes us stand out is our ability to create relationships. Before I did this for a living I have over 10 years in the Hospitality industry that really strengthened my core customer service knowledge and gave me a leg up in terms of relationships and understanding people.
Honestly the thing Im proud of most is just surviving in this industry. Not very few people have done what I have done and made it through completely sane. It really teaches you a lot about yourself grinding and surviving through hard times such as Covid, Strikes and multiple other hardships along the way. I moved my business to Atlanta and it was the greatest thing I’ve done in terms of personal growth and professional.

Can you talk to us about how your funded your business?
I feel this is a good hard lesson for many people to learn. In business you truly have to spend money to make money. And starting out, right out of college you usually have limited capital. If you just got your Bachelors most likely you won’t have any hard skillsets. So they best way I can say this if you are going to invest in something make sure that something expands a skill set. And don’t mess up your credit. Without credit cards I would not be here. But be strategic and not stupid. Pay off something before expanding into anther item. But overall to get where I am at I used my credit to my fullest.
Secondly, If you can find a mentor. Someone that might save you from having to invest and learn and use their gear. That is one lesson I wish I would have done and might have been further along.

We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
Honestly in terms of relationships a lot of what I do is very referenced based and not missing an opportunity. Calling people up and having a beer or getting breakfast or lunch is a big part of my life. I feel people need a physical relations to really connect with people and want to keep associating. This doesn’t always work with bigger brands so I trying to email and reach out at least once a quarter to remind people that I exist.
