We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Kyaisha Jenkins a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Kyaisha , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
The story of Victory’s Classroom began in November of 2022, during an extremely challenging period in my life. I was divorced, shortly after had a mini-stroke, and quit my job suddenly due to stress. I started to have this deeply hollowing feeling that I needed more out of my life but I didn’t know what to do about it. Sometime later I started and ended a short-lived relationship that I would continue to struggle with on and off again until I finally found the strength to truly move on. In my desperation to keep moving forward and bounce back from the unfortunate events in my life, I didn’t fully understand how much healing I needed, nor how much my past experiences were influencing my choices and my journey. All of these back-to-back events confused me about the direction my life had taken. It was like the rug had been pulled from underneath my feet.
In the beginning of 2023, I felt a strong pull to grow closer to God and truly heal. I had been going to therapy, reading books, attending workshops and completing programs to heal, and while that was all helpful, I still didn’t feel like these things were giving me the solution to the root of my heart pain. That’s when I started to experience God in a new way. I had been in church all my life, but there’s a difference between going through the motions and truly being transformed by the love of God.
I desired to create something tangible to show that my life was changing and that I was heading in a new direction. So I decided to set a goal to learn how to publish a Bible study journal on Amazon KDP. I wanted to create something that was not only functional but deeply purposeful. Again, I had been raised in church but realized there was a gap between professing Christianity and actively living it out. I wanted to practically apply God’s word in a way that gave results. I realized I would benefit from a study journal that helped me connect more meaningfully with my faith and that others probably could too. I spent three days learning how to design simple interiors and covers and published three Bible study journals.
When it came time to fill in the author’s name, I hesitated and for some reason, I didn’t want to put my own name. I asked God what name I should use and that’s when ‘Victory’s Classroom’ popped into my mind. I knew immediately that this was meant to be something more than a simple pen name. “Victory’s Classroom” perfectly captured what I was experiencing — a season of being trained and educated in God’s word so I could see the victory in my life that Jesus had already won for me on the cross.
It was then that I realized this was about much more than Bible study journals. I knew this idea was a God-given vision, one that would continue to evolve as I walked in obedience and continued to grow in my faith. The vision for Victory’s Classroom was not just about publishing resources, but about helping others experience victory in their own spiritual journey. It became clear to me that this was a divine endeavor — a way to combine my personal healing, my passion for teaching, and my calling to empower others in their faith.

Kyaisha , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
For those who don’t know me, I’m Kyaisha Jenkins, the founder of Victory’s Classroom, a faith-based platform dedicated to helping believers grow spiritually and live victorious lives through practical, Christ-centered resources. I am multifaceted and have multiple interests but above all, I am my Heavenly Father’s baby girl. I spend every day embracing who He’s made me to be and I enjoy doing life with Him.
My journey into this work was deeply personal and rooted in my own experiences of healing and growth. After navigating a difficult season in my life in 2022, I felt a powerful pull to strengthen my relationship with God. It was during this time that I realized how important my faith was to my healing and growth. I believed there was so much more I could do to deepen my faith and understanding of God’s word, not only for myself but for others as well.
I was tired of struggling through life because of my wounds and brokenness and could feel God calling me to a deeper level of intimacy. I could see that as I began to really believe the scriptures I was reading in the Bible and apply them to my life that I was changing. I desired to grow spiritually and desperately looked for ways to practically apply what I was reading in scripture. This led me to create Bible study journals and resources that were functional, purposeful, and accessible. It initially started as a personal project and was honestly an attempt to prove to myself that I could accomplish something after feeling like I had lost everything. That quickly evolved into a larger vision as I began to see how I could help others experience the same healing and transformation I was going through. That’s when Victory’s Classroom was born.
Interestingly, my background in education and training naturally influenced how Victory’s Classroom took shape—even though I didn’t plan it that way. I earned my master’s degree in education with a focus on learning and technology and have spent my career developing training programs, curriculum, and workshops. I’ve worked in roles where I helped people learn and grow through corporate training, academic support, and coaching. Looking back, I can see how God was preparing me for this all along. The skills I developed in instructional design, teaching, training and content creation now allow me to build structured, engaging faith-based learning resources that help believers grow in their relationship with God.
At Victory’s Classroom, I offer a variety of faith-based products and services that include Bible study and prayer journals, content for personal growth, and, pretty soon, online courses and more aimed at helping Christians practically apply biblical principles to their lives. My goal is to empower individuals by equipping them with the tools they need to grow spiritually, build confidence in their faith, and experience the victory that Jesus has already won for us.
Victory’s Classroom is still in its early stages, but it’s already been a journey of faith, growth, and purpose. Right now, I’m finishing up my first course and have outlined the curriculum for the first layer of my discipleship program. There’s still so much room for growth, and I’m excited to continue building. My vision is to create a space where believers can grow in their faith through structured learning, community, and practical application. As Victory’s Classroom evolves, I hope to expand into a full discipleship program, a membership community, and interactive workshops. But for now, I’m taking things step by step, laying a strong foundation for what’s to come. These future initiatives will provide more hands-on guidance and accountability, ensuring that people not only learn biblical principles but also apply them in their daily lives.
A key part of Victory’s Classroom is my book, What’s a Christian Anyway?, which serves as one of the foundational texts for my curriculum—outside of the Bible, of course. This book was written to provide clear, simple explanations of foundational Christian beliefs, along with practical guidance for applying biblical principles in everyday life. It’s designed for those who are curious about Christianity, new to the faith, or even seasoned believers looking to deepen their understanding. The book lays the groundwork for the resources, courses, and programs I’m developing, ensuring that everything I create is rooted in biblical truth and practical application.
What sets me apart is the combination of personal experience, authenticity, and a deep commitment to faith-based learning. I don’t just create resources for others to make. money; I create them because I know the transformative power of God’s word. Everything I do is grounded in my own journey of healing and growth, and I believe that genuine connection and authenticity are key to helping others on their spiritual path. I am serious about ‘practicing what I preach’ and want to help others do the same.
The main things I want readers to know about me and Victory’s Classroom are: I am deeply committed to helping others grow in their faith, I believe in the transformative power of biblical principles (the Word WILL work for you if you work it!), and I’m passionate about making faith-based learning accessible and practical for everyday life. Victory’s Classroom is more than just a business; it’s a ministry that’s about empowering people to see the victory in their own lives and walk in the fullness of what God has for them.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
One of the biggest lessons I had to unlearn was perfectionism. In the beginning, I felt like everything I released had to be flawless—on the same level as multi-million dollar companies with years of experience. I spent so much time overanalyzing, tweaking, and second-guessing that I ended up procrastinating more than producing. The fear of not getting it ‘right’ the first time made me feel unqualified, leading to imposter syndrome and a cycle of overcompensation.
Eventually, I realized that perfectionism was holding me back far more than any mistake ever could. I had to learn that sometimes, the best way to improve is by doing. You won’t execute every aspect of your business flawlessly from the start—that’s unrealistic and probably impossible. But what truly matters is capturing the heart of the message and putting it out there. Instead of spending hours obsessing over the perfect font for a graphic or trying to get every sentence in a video just right, I started focusing on progress over perfection.
The more I embraced this mindset, the more I found the courage to put myself out there. And in doing so, I realized that people connected with what I had to offer—even in its imperfect stages. I learned that growth comes from action, and feedback from my audience allows me to refine and improve over time. Now, I approach everything with the understanding that done is better than perfect, and that has made all the difference.”

Do you sell on your site, or do you use a platform like Amazon, Etsy, Cratejoy, etc?
Currently, I sell my books, notebooks, and Bible study journals through Amazon. For me, this was the best choice starting out. Amazon is a well-known and reputable platform, which gives my products credibility—especially for people who may not be familiar with me or Victory’s Classroom yet. It also made the process much easier as a beginner. I was able to learn from others who had experience with Amazon, and it removed a lot of the logistical challenges like printing, storing inventory, shipping, and handling returns. Plus, customers with Amazon Prime benefit from fast shipping, which is always a plus.
That being said, there are definitely some drawbacks. Using Amazon means I have to abide by their publishing rules and standards, and the royalty payouts aren’t great. While it’s been an excellent starting point, my long-term goal is to sell directly through my own website. That would give me more control over my products and allow me to keep more of the revenue in-house while building a deeper connection with my audience.
I’d definitely recommend starting wherever you can with whatever you have access to, but always keep your future goals in mind. That way, when it’s time to pivot, you’re prepared to take the next step in growing your business.
