We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Krystel Beall. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Krystel below.
Krystel, appreciate you joining us today. If you had a defining moment that you feel really changed the trajectory of your career, we’d love to hear the story and details.
Understanding I had Complex PTSD really rocked my world. I knew I was always super disciplined and hyper focused on being the best version of myself, and coaching others to do the same. It wasn’t until I understood why, and started to unravel the layers of my survival mode all of those years that it truly felt like a soul purpose. I embraced my childhood trauma and became very knowledgeable in the field. It led to wonderful opportunities of sharing my experiences to help others understand they do not have to be a product of their environments and that they are in charge of their mind, body and soul healing.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I was always disciplined, active and athletic, which backfired a bit and lead to an eating disorder in adolescence. I chose Exercise Science as a major to help educate myself out of my own patterns and in the process fell in love with teaching group fitness classes and personal training. I loved the connection and empowerment it brought to me and others. After managing a corporate fitness center for almost 10 years I decided to get more involved with philanthropy. Working with local non-profits especially ones that incorporate children and family services made my heart feel full and purposeful. I had a unique childhood and realized when I shared that with some of the children they lit up by learning they could change their trajectory no matter how difficult some of the things were they were facing. In 2021 I decided to get a brain scan and that revealed I had CPTSD. I immediately got on the healing track of unraveling that with various modalities such as research, talk therapy, meditation, sound baths, spending more time in nature, mindfulness living, hormone regulation, trauma and resiliency training. It’s lead to not only healing my brain and no longer having PTSD, but the wonderful opportunity to serve on the Resilient Retreat board (a local non profit that provides free programs for survivors of trauma/abuse, helping professionals and first responders). I take a very holistic and real approach to my health and wellness and have been sharing my journey on my Podcast Krystel Clear. After starting my podcast, I was overwhelmed with the amazing response from listeners so I decided to start my Krystel Clear Empowerment Coaching business. I LOVE IT! My soul purpose is to shed light in the darkness and shown others how they can do the same for themselves. My dynamic background, passion for helping others and life experience has led to great success and fulfillment. I look forward to impacting the lives of others in a positive way and assist them in gaining the tools they need to be the best version of themselves. I am currently CEO/Owner Krystel Clear, Community Outreach & Philanthropy Coordinator for Bealls Inc, Board Chair for RMB Scholarship Foundation and Beall Reichman Scholarship Foundation, serve on Board of Directors for Resilient Retreat and No Blues News. Active mom, wife and community activist that has a passion for paying it forward!

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
Weeeew. Educating myself (through self help books and life experiences) the difference between disciple and rigidity! I thought for years that my “disciple” with being healthy and fit was balance and good for me. However, I took it to extremes by over, exercising being super strict on myself, and quite frankly, not realizing I was creating self sabotaging behaviors, even though I thought they were “healthy.” I’ve learned to balance that now through understanding, I created adrenal fatigue and hormonal imbalances I am now healthier from the inside out than I’ve ever been thanks to my amazing functional medicine doctor, my willingness to grow and mature and surrendering to the beauty of the life lessons.
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
Be honest when the world shut down due to the pandemic, when I was eight months pregnant. It allowed me to sit in the “stillness” that I had never allowed myself to do before, and gave me the opportunity to really go and work to start unraveling and untangling areas of my healing, which led to beautiful opportunities when everything picked back up.
