Alright, Kourtnii thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s start big picture – what are some of biggest trends you are seeing in your industry?
Crystals, Metaphysical/Energy Healing and Witches are on the rise. As the current systems just aren’t working for us more people are seeking alternative healing TikTok has become a major platform of spreading information and creating trends starting with Moldavite which has introduced people into shadow work and self ascension. Moldavite will shake up your world inside and out, pushing away all the things in life that no longer serve you to make way for the best version of yourself.
Afterwards we saw a huge spike in Carnelian, once you have released the negativity in your life (even some you’re not quite ready to let go of) Carnelian helps you to gain the confidence and creativity in moving forward to where you need to be.
I love to see the collective rising and community growing together. Like the journey to enlightenment there is always more to learn and you will get so passionate you can’t wait to share with your friends and loved ones so that they can experience it too.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
When you align with the universe things start to fall into place exactly as they should. 7 years ago I started Embodii Crystals as an extension of my practice in massage and energy work. My clients felt the healing energies of the crystals and wanted to continue that work outside our sessions. Naturally see a need, fill a need, Embodii Crystals has grown to be one of the largest crystal suppliers in the DFW area. Coming from a family of miners, I was already familiar with the industry and my connections have lead us to be able to offer great quality crystals affordable for everyone. We strive to be very inclusive and supportive as everyone is on their own journey and we all walk our own paths.
Can you talk to us about how you funded your business?
Starting a business is not for the faint at heart. It takes hard work, dedication and resilience, you’ll never be truly good at something until you’ve failed at it. There have been many times I’ve invested every dollar I had into building this company and trusting the universe it will all work out. At times I had to go out of state to meet up with suppliers, when buying wholesale and dealing with miners directly you have to purchase a substantial amount of product which has left me in foreign cities with a truck full of rocks and $0 left. After growing my online presence I was able to buy and sell enough to make it back home to turn around and do it all over again.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I have had so much love and support from friends, family and clients throughout my journey which I am so grateful for. Growing a social media presence can be difficult especially in a saturated industry. When I first started live stream sales it was an all new concept, no one knew how it worked, how to pay or how to guarantee they would receive the products. My first show had 3 viewers, it took a lot of confidence and talking to myself on camera,. Consistency is key, my first show I made $20, my first $100 sale I was so excited I couldn’t wait to tell my mom. It was a beautifully innovative time which helped grow our social media because it was something no one else was doing. Once covid hit it became a great way to connect with each other, hang out and talk about crystals. Eventually I ended up hiring my mom and my sister which added such a fun dynamic to our shows, our personalities may not be for everyone but we have a lot of fun and we get to meet some pretty amazing people who shop with us and tune into the live streams.
