We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful KIMBERLY JACKSON. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with KIMBERLY below.
Alright, KIMBERLY thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – walk us through the story?
One of the biggest risks I’ve taken was stepping out to establish KCM INT, LLC, my passion business dedicated to leadership development, empowerment, and purpose activation. While I had already been deeply involved in mentorship, ministry, and outreach through Divine Destiny Center and DD Outreach Ministries, I knew that God was calling me to build something more—something that would equip not just women but leaders, entrepreneurs, and visionaries to walk in excellence and purpose.
The Backstory
In 2016, KCM INT, LLC began with a boutique called Diva for a Dime. This was more than just a boutique—it was a ministry in itself. I saw firsthand how many women struggled to rebuild their confidence after setbacks—whether it was job loss, life transitions, or personal hardships. Many of them had the skills and drive to move forward but lacked the professional attire and resources to take that next step.
So, Diva for a Dime was born—a place where women could come and receive business clothing either for free or at a small fee to help them transition back into the workplace with dignity and confidence. It was never about making a profit—it was about restoring confidence, self-worth, and purpose in the women I served.
The Shift – Expanding the Vision
As I continued mentoring women through Divine Destiny Center and meeting leaders across different industries, I realized there was a gap—many people had the calling, the passion, and the vision but lacked leadership training, networking opportunities, and guidance on how to step into their role with confidence and clarity. That’s when I birthed Leader-Shift under KCM INT, LLC—a space designed to:
✔ Encourage, establish, and network leaders
✔ Provide leadership training and personal development
✔ Equip women I mentored through ministry and outreach
Leader-Shift became a bridge—not just for women but for anyone in leadership, ministry, or business who needed mentorship, tools, and resources to walk in excellence, integrity, and vision.
The Risk & The Reward
Stepping into KCM INT, LLC was a major risk because I knew that building a leadership-focused business while still running a nonprofit was going to take time, investment, and faith. There was no guaranteed outcome. I was navigating new territory, funding everything on my own, and trusting that the vision God had placed in me would bear fruit.
But I understood the assignment—this wasn’t just about business; it was about impact. Over the years, I have watched leaders grow, women transform, and visionaries find clarity through the work of KCM. I have seen business owners, ministers, and emerging leaders step into their assignments boldly and confidently because they had a space to learn, grow, and sharpen.
The Lesson
This journey taught me that obedience to God’s calling always requires risk, but when you step out in faith, He provides everything you need along the way. KCM INT, LLC continues to be a place of empowerment, leadership development, and personal transformation, and I am grateful every day that I took the risk to build something that empowers others to lead with excellence and purpose.
This isn’t just a business. This is a movement.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am Kimberly Jackson, the founder and CEO of KCM INT, LLC, a faith-based leadership development and empowerment company dedicated to equipping leaders, entrepreneurs, and visionaries with the tools they need to walk in their full potential. I am also the founder of Divine Destiny Center, a nonprofit committed to mentoring and empowering women and young girls.
Through Purpose Life Coaching, I help individuals gain clarity, build confidence, and align their lives with their God-given purpose. This platform also serves as a launching space for other transformative coaching initiatives. One of its key collaborations is Ignite for Impact, a program designed to equip leaders, business owners, and ministry workers with the strategies, tools, and mindset needed to step into their next level of influence.
Everything I do—whether in business or ministry—is Christ-centered. My faith is the foundation, my guideline, and the standard by which I lead.
I also recently launched a YouTube channel and podcast, Living Purposely, where I share faith-based insights, leadership strategies, and personal development tools to help others boldly walk in their calling.
How KCM INT, LLC Began
Leadership has always been a part of me—even as a teenager, I naturally found myself guiding, mentoring, and helping others find direction. In 2016, I launched KCM INT, LLC with the vision of empowering individuals to lead with purpose and excellence.
It started with Diva for a Dime, a boutique created to help women transition back into the workforce by providing business attire for free or at a small cost. As I continued mentoring women and coaching leaders, I saw a greater need—people seeking clarity, confidence, and strategy in business, ministry, and leadership.
That’s when I expanded KCM to include:
✔ Leader-Shift – A gathering and conference where leaders can come together and hear from other leaders sharing their expertise and years of experience in business, ministry, and leadership. This space is designed to inspire, educate, and connect individuals who are looking to elevate their leadership skills.
✔ Purpose Life Coaching – A coaching platform that creates opportunities for collaboration and personal development. It serves as a hub for other leadership and growth-focused programs, offering mentorship, strategy sessions, and empowerment resources.
✔ Ignite for Impact (within Purpose Life Coaching) – A specialized program designed to help individuals transition into their next level of influence with strategic tools, confidence, and clarity. Whether in business, ministry, or personal leadership, this program equips individuals to navigate change, expand their effectiveness, and make a lasting impact.
I also saw the unique challenges that women face at different stages of life. Whether it was:
🔹 Women who had been stay-at-home moms for many years, now trying to navigate the workforce or start a business
🔹 Women coming out of divorce, trying to rediscover their confidence, independence, and purpose
🔹 Women approaching retirement or newly retired, unsure of what’s next and looking for their next opportunity or business venture
KCM INT, LLC became a place to help women transition into their next season with clarity, confidence, and strategy.
Collaboration is Key
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned—both in KCM INT, LLC and Divine Destiny Center—is that true leadership isn’t about doing it alone. I’ve always believed that great leaders understand the power of collaboration.
By partnering with others who are strong in key areas, I’ve been able to take the vision to another level and make a greater impact in the lives of those we serve. Leadership is not a one-person show—together, we create lasting and meaningful change.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
Pivoting has been a recurring theme in my journey, but one of the biggest shifts I had to make was recognizing that what I had been doing in ministry and outreach needed to evolve into something more structured, sustainable, and expansive.
For years, my work in mentoring, outreach, and leadership development had been a deeply personal mission—helping women and young girls find confidence, purpose, and healing. I was actively leading Bible studies, mentoring programs, and community outreach through Divine Destiny Center (DDC). However, I soon realized that the impact I was making could be greater if I built platforms that provided not just encouragement but also structure, leadership training, and long-term personal and professional development.
The Pivot: From Outreach to Structured Empowerment
I knew God was calling me to expand beyond just outreach and mentoring. That’s when I decided to formalize my coaching and leadership training under KCM INT, LLC while still keeping DDC as the nonprofit arm focused on community restoration and transformation.
✔ Divine Destiny Center became the home for mentorship, outreach, and faith-based empowerment for women and young girls, providing spiritual guidance, community support, and restoration programs.
✔ KCM INT, LLC was developed as the business side, allowing me to create leadership training, coaching, and strategy-based programs that would empower people in business, ministry, and personal leadership.
This pivot wasn’t just about redefining how I operated—it was about maximizing impact. Through this shift, I created:
✔ Purpose Life Coaching, a structured coaching space that helps individuals gain clarity, build confidence, and activate their God-given purpose.
✔ Ignite for Impact, a program within Purpose Life Coaching that equips leaders, entrepreneurs, and ministry workers with the tools needed to transition into higher levels of influence.
✔ Leader-Shift, a gathering and conference platform where leaders can hear from experienced voices in business, ministry, and leadership, offering networking, training, and mentorship opportunities.
The Challenges of the Pivot
This transition came with challenges—shifting from doing everything under one umbrella to creating two separate but complementary platforms required faith, strategy, and trust in God’s leading. It meant:
🔹 Developing clear distinctions between the nonprofit (DDC) and the business (KCM INT, LLC)
🔹 Learning the ins and outs of running a coaching business while continuing to serve in ministry
🔹 Building teams and partnerships to help sustain the growth of both platforms
🔹 Expanding beyond one-on-one mentoring to creating scalable programs, workshops, and conferences
But in making this shift, I saw doors open that I never expected I was able to collaborate with other leaders, reach more people, and create lasting transformation through structured programs.
The Outcome: A Greater Impact
Pivoting in this way allowed me to serve women and leaders in a deeper, more effective way. Instead of just offering encouragement, I could now offer:
✔ Structured mentorship and leadership development
✔ Community outreach and personal restoration programs
✔ Conferences and gatherings that bring leaders together for growth and networking
✔ Personal and professional coaching that equips individuals for their next season
By making this shift, I realized that God was not calling me to abandon what I had been doing—He was calling me to expand it. The pivot from outreach to structured empowerment helped me create a movement, not just a mission—one that transforms lives, empowers leaders, and activates purpose.
Lesson Learned: Be Willing to Shift When God Calls You Higher
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that God’s vision for our lives is always bigger than what we can see at the moment. Sometimes, the very thing we think we’re “losing” is actually being elevated and expanded. Pivoting isn’t about walking away—it’s about stepping into something greater.
This experience taught me that when God calls you to pivot, it’s because He’s preparing you for more. And through KCM INT, LLC and Divine Destiny Center, I now have two thriving platforms that work together to equip, empower, and elevate individuals in their purpose, faith, and leadership journey.
If you feel a pivot coming in your own life, don’t fear it—embrace it. Your next level of impact is on the other side of obedience.

Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?
What advice do you have for managing a team and maintaining high morale?
Managing a team and maintaining high morale requires a combination of strong leadership, clear communication, and a commitment to fostering a positive, purpose-driven environment. Here are a few key principles I have found essential in leading with integrity, encouragement, and effectiveness:
1. Lead with Vision & Purpose
People thrive when they understand why they are doing what they are doing. Whether it is in ministry, business, or community work, your team needs to see the bigger picture. When the vision is clear, motivation follows. As a leader, I make sure those who assist with the vision understand that what we do at Divine Destiny Center is about transforming lives—not just completing tasks. This sense of purpose fuels passion, commitment, and teamwork.
2. Cultivate a Culture of Appreciation
People do not just want to work; they want to be valued. Recognizing efforts—whether big or small—goes a long way in keeping morale high. I make it a priority to encourage, affirm, and celebrate my team members regularly. Whether through verbal appreciation, small tokens of gratitude, or recognizing milestones, I ensure that each person feels seen and valued for their contributions.
3. Communicate with Clarity & Consistency
Miscommunication breeds confusion and frustration. To maintain high morale, I focus on open, honest, and clear communication. This means:
✔ Setting clear expectations so that everyone understands their role
✔ Creating space for feedback so team members feel heard and valued
✔ Being transparent about changes or challenges to keep trust intact.
When people feel informed and included, they stay engaged and motivated.
4. Encourage Collaboration & Ownership
An effective team is not built on micromanagement, it’s built on empowerment. I encourage my team to bring their ideas to the table, take initiative, and have ownership in projects. This creates a sense of buy-in where people feel personally connected to the success of the organization. When team members know their voices matter, they are more invested in the work.
5. Foster a Healthy & Supportive Environment
Burnout is real, especially in purpose-driven work. I prioritize mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being by:
✔ Encouraging work-life balance
✔ Creating a judgment-free space for people to express concerns
✔ Reminding my team that self-care is not selfish, it is necessary.
A team that feels supported, encouraged, and cared for will always perform better than a team that feels overworked and undervalued.
6. Lead by Example
Morale starts at the top. If I want my team to be enthusiastic, committed, and purpose-driven, I must demonstrate those qualities. Leading with integrity, humility, and faith sets the tone for the entire team. People follow what they see, not just hear, so I strive to be an example of excellence, grace, and purpose in action.
Final Thought
At the end of the day, teams thrive in environments where they feel valued, connected, and aligned with a greater purpose. Managing a team is not just about getting things done, it is about building people up, investing in their growth, and ensuring they feel a sense of purpose, belonging, and joy in what they do.
When you cultivate a healthy team, community or culture, strong morale follows naturally—and from there, your mission flourishes.
