We were lucky to catch up with Kiea Williams recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Kiea thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?
Hard work and dedicated
whatever you do JUST DON’T GIVE UP
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Kiea Williams the owner of Touch’d By Her LLC.
I’ve been doing hair since the age of nine. I first started off as a braider and elevated within the business. I now offer Loc service, Wig installs, Weaves and much more.
I also make my very own products such as locs and braid oils to help keeps the hair hydrated and moist.
The service I provide to all clients new and or old is proper education on how to care for their hair and or locs.
What set me apart from others is the time, and classes I take to better my craft.
I’m very proud of my success and hard work that I put behind my logo and brand.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
The most effective strategy for my business is word of mouth. When I make one client feels good after leaving my chair, their 1st reaction is to post on any social media platform and or call a friend or family to express their experience. Which will have them curious and come sit in the chair as well.
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
The best source for new clients is marketing. Make business cards and leave them at local business and hair stores, where ever you go leave a card some where. Someone will pick it up.
Be sure to leave enough so they can take more and give them out to someone else
