We were lucky to catch up with Kenyon Glover recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Kenyon, thanks for joining us today. Parents can play a significant role in affecting how our lives and careers turn out – and so we think it’s important to look back and have conversations about what our parents did that affected us positive (or negatively) so that we can learn from the billions of experiences in each generation. What’s something you feel your parents did right that impacted you positively.

My parents did a lot of things right. I would even say my parents raised me perfectly. My parents instilled values in me at an early age that would turn out to be very useful in life. They taught me the value of hard work and working hard at everything that I did. They taught me how to respect and how to be respected. They taught me discipline which is the main reason why I am so disciplined today. And they not only taught me discipline but they disciplined me when I needed to be disciplined. They instilled values in me such as honesty, kindness, resilience, and accountability. They also taught me social skills like empathy, and effective communication, while fostering independence and self-confidence.

I learned that failure is not fatal but a step towards growth. And when you fall down, get back up and keep moving forward, keep trying, keep fighting and never ever quit. And the most important lesson of all that I am so grateful that my parents instilled in me was taking me to church every Sunday to learn about my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, my Creator, My God, my Rock and my Redeemer. I never really liked going to church and ofcourse if my Parents went, then we had to go as well. I had a very Praying Mother, Father, Step Father, Grandmothers and Grandfathers.

And its because of their Faith and their Prayers and their dedication and devotion to attending Church every week and taking us along also, set the foundation for me to become the man I am today.

Kenyon, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I am Kenyon Glover and I am a Soldier for Christ. I am a Minister, Award Winning Actor/Author, Filmmaker and Speaker. I was born and raised in Monroe, Louisiana with 2 younger brothers. I have a wonderful Mother and Father that have been my rock since birth. I cherish my family and love my family dearly.

I got into the entertainment business in 2006 after a career ending injury from playing professional basketball. I became a model which then transitioned me to become an actor. I have attained over 80 film and TV credits and have been seen on numerous TV shows, movies and commercials.

I own and operate my own film production company, KG Films Productions in which we Produce high quality content for film and television. We are currently developing a documentary about mental health which is going to really impact the world.

I also launched my own Ministry, Faithful & Focused Ministries, in 2024 after becoming an Ordained Minister because it is now a passion of mine to proclaim the Word of God throughout the world and bring people to Christ. It is my duty and obligation to be on a rescue mission from God to search, find and rescue as many people as possible to be a light in their darkness.

I am most proud of being able to really relate to people, to be able to Minister and counsel people and give them hope that they no longer had. So many people are broken and depressed and have truly given up on themselves and life and I am a Soldier in the Army of God with the Spirit of God flowing through my veins and I have been sent out to destroy the demonic forces that are running rampant in our world.

Moving forward, my focus is to create content that will really empower peoples minds and hearts. I want my films to have messages in them that will leave people feeling Inspired, motivated and encouraged. When I go to speak to the masses all over the world, my goal and mission is to get people to see how God sees them.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

I found out what works for me. I discovered my love, my passions, my strengths and weaknesses and what really grasp the attention of the people that I am striving to attract. And then I start building on that and becoming more consistent. People really started to understand my brand and what I represent. People like it when you are authentic and transparent and they like to see that you love what you do. So find out what you are passionate about. Figure out what your strengths and weaknesses are.

Do research on your brand and see how others are branding what you are branding. Get some ideas and pointers from their posts. There is an old saying, “Why re-invent the wheel”, if its working.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

People are attracted to realness, transparency and authenticity. These days, its very hard to tell what is real and what is not, especially with AI coming onto the scene and really taking over. So I have maintained just continuing to be me, being honesty, being transparent and being authentic and real. People can see that the same person you see on social media is the very same person you meet in real life face to face. And then the word gets out, people start talking, the word spreads about your brand, and my reputation has made its way around the world in a positive way.
