We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Kahari Burden a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Kahari, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear about the things you feel your parents did right and how those things have impacted your career and life.

Birth me and sent me out to the world blindly for the Most High to form me to the person I’m truly desired to be. I thank them just for bringing me on earth. it’s no story other than not wanting to believe in my dreams at tough times and tough times led me to another route to finding self and finding the word “believe” in myself.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I’m a music producer from Augusta Ga a small city with full of kids that willing to try but gets distracted by in town things, I work with artists and build artist with my product which is beats & Etc. I’m proud of finding myself through the process because not too many people will go through the fire to see results it’s all about a handout with people. i want people to know that if I can do it, you can do it simple.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?

to be honest I’m still learning that people is not here for you, they’re here for what you got its never a genuine help from others if you not providing some type of service rather that’s physical or mentally. I used to show the way to people just for people sit back and plot and twist the light on themselves, but everything is cool because most high been had a set plan for me.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?

I can’t lie and I won’t lie, I’m in my pivot season as we speak, I had to lose everything that I had my car, apartment, all my belongings I’m literally starting from nothing but I’m Okay with that because it’s telling me to go find self the righteous way and to stop all my wrong doings which is what led me to this position. trust me I’m fine it’s not the end of the world yet.
