Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Justine Lindsay. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Justine , thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
Hailing from Charlotte, NC, a city with a rich artistic heritage, my passion for the arts runs deep. I began dancing at the age of five, but it wasn’t until the sixth grade that I commenced formal training. My interest in dance was sparked by accompanying my sister to her dance team practices, where I would stand at the back of the room, learning the routines. It quickly became evident that dance was not only my passion but also the career I aspired to pursue.
My journey in dance took me from the Charlotte Ballet to relocating at the age of 14 to train under the esteemed Debbie Allen at The Debbie Allen Dance Academy. This pivotal move advanced my career significantly. I later made history by becoming the first NFL cheerleader for the Carolina Panthers, marking a significant milestone in my professional journey.

Justine , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m got into my business by being discovered by Francis Clarke and from there things went in the up and up. If I can remember I started professionally I got a full scholarship at Charlotte Ballet and also a middle school student juggling my new life. In 2003 I became the first black party boy for the big stage performance The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty and, Snow White and Don Quixote. Working with Debbie Allen Dance Academy I was in Her stage play Alex in Wonderland, Don Quixote, Boy of the Knight.

Can you share your view on NFTs? (Note: this is for education/entertainment purposes only, readers should not construe this as advice)
My view is that I’m open minded and just excited to be on new and connect with shows and tell me about my story. I’m excited to see where things go and can’t wait to see how this bran carries my brand and let people know about me a what I have to offer.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
I can share my story from my journey as a trans woman and being in a bigger space that people would never imagine, but all in all I am excited to see how things go
