Jose, appreciate you joining us today. Can you tell us the backstory behind how you came up with the idea?
JDGoesPlaces is my account to share all the things I love, the idea came because as a foodie I like to explore, from the regular ones to “high end”, my passion for style and always finding the best way to look my best,
Traveling and learning about places enhance my experience as a human being and I love to share that with my audience
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Ever since I was living in Venezuela looking for places and sharing it has been my passion, I started with food, a pop up on cafes started in Maracaibo, Venezuela and I wanted to enjoy and explored all of them, then I came to the US and stopped for a bit, however, being inmerse in a new culture and a new world allow me to take this passion back, recording, enjoying and sharing, for me it’s more about the experience more than the place or the plate, I also share who I love, my love as a runner, and fitness while I can eat a great meal, or going to a museum, when I visit a city I want to learn about the experience,
I also love fashion so I like to share my beaty tips and how I look,
For me the community is important, if I can help to showcase a place Im here for it

As a content creator, giving up is an option that shows often, recently I was waiting for a boat ride and while I was waiting a person said OMG you’re JDGoesPlaces I’ve seeing your posts, even though my followers are not as many as other influencers, the fact that this person said that to me, told me… Keep it going,
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
I started to get invited to more events in town, so my social media handle for some reason was kinda difficult to say, so I decided to change my username to JD, my name is Jose David so I can use both names which I love, for me both names are important.
