Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jon Turner. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Jon, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you talk to us about how you learned to do what you do?
I started learning about photography/videography by watching Youtube non stop. After watching the videos I owuld go out and practice shooting what I was seeing and continued to work on my editing with each shoot or video I did.
I think loving the process of learning and making mistakes allows you to appreciate the growth no matter how long it takes. I don’t think you should try to rush something you love doing, eventually after enough time and work you will become a master of the craft.
I believe that having the right mindset is the most essential thing. With the right mindset no matter what happens good or bad you are able to overcome it and turn it in your favor. If you believe that everything works for your good then you will never fail.
The only obstacles that stood in the way of me learning was myself. All the information you need is online somewhere whether in Video, Audio, or Text format. It’s about having the mental discipline to stay consistent and be organized about what it is your learning without getting overwhelmed. If you can find that sweet spot that works for you, then there is nothing that can stand in the way of you reaching whatever your learning goals are.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My name is Jon but most people call me JET (My Initials). I have always been very creative since a young age and used to enjoy editing videos in my free time. As I got older I strayed away from video editing but purchased a camera after college which resparked my interest. After picking it back up and working to get better, I created my current business I run now called McClendon Images. I specialize in Portrait Photography & Wedding Videography/Photography but also cover a wide range of events. I provide the highest quality possible to my clients with the quickest turn around times. My photoshoots are 2-3 day turn around time on photos and wedding videos are completed within 2 weeks. This is what sets me apart from others is my quality and speed at which I complete the work. I’m most proud of the work I have completed with past clients because it gives me an opportunity to get to know so many people from different walks of life and connect with them to be able to produce a great shoot.

Can you share your view on NFTs? (Note: this is for education/entertainment purposes only, readers should not construe this as advice)
They are the future. If you are not looking at them or understand what it is, you are becoming the adults of the 1990s who thought internet was a fad.
How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?
Share their work. if you like something share it so your ecosystem can see it as well.
