We recently connected with Joey Navarro and have shared our conversation below.
Joey, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Almost all entrepreneurs have had to decide whether to start now or later? There are always pros and cons for waiting and so we’d love to hear what you think about your decision in retrospect. If you could go back in time, would you have started your business sooner, later or at the exact time you started?
To be quite honest, I’m happy I started my business 24 years later down the line.. It enabled me to see business and tattooing in many different ways. It showed me what works and what doesn’t. I started my business 2 1/2 months ago. Life has been great and my career has been great as well. Always growing. I wouldn’t change anything about my journey getting here. It has taught me a lot.

Joey, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I got introduced to the tattoo world at the age of 16 by two gentlemen Dave Amchir and Kurt Hennings. Both having a serious impact on the South Florida tattoo scene in the 90’s. I’ve always been very business savvy and big on gorilla marketing. Of course you have to have a quality product and care. I discipline myself every day. I love challenges and love coming up with solutions. As a young man, me, my brother Drace, my friend Shaun Urbain and his brother Jeremy Urbain brought heavy PR to South Florida Music and Tattoo scene. As far as problem solving for clients, we always make sure that we have the best communication and that they get 100% Along with great customer service. We love our clients ect. We want you to feel at home. With all that being said, I feel that’s what sets us apart from everyone one else.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
Doing great work, conducting good business, being thorough with communication, and having good marketing.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Yes, by being persistent with content, engaging with clients, investing into advertisement, and knowing how to target your audience. Thats the key.
