We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Jocelyn Kimble a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Jocelyn thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. One of the toughest things about progressing in your career is that there are almost always unexpected problems that come up – problems that you often can’t read about in advance, can’t prepare for, etc. Have you had such and experience and if so, can you tell us the story of one of those unexpected problems you’ve encountered?
I had my own spa in 2020 I lost my son to suicide. It changed my whole life. I had to lean on the strength of my heavenly father. I had to close my spa. Then I went into depression. I fought my way out. I asked for strength to help me. I began to create my own line of facial and body products. I came up with bodybyja.org. It was very hard to fight my way back to pushing through. But I did. I had to learn how to reach for the best. It was very hard and i turned my pain into my purpose to my passion.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I love serving. I got my cosmetologist license in 1998, my massage license in 2006 and my esthetician license in 2016. It makes me feel so go helping others feel good about themselves.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
How I fought back from a very dark place in my life. To open my online skincare line. No matter how hard it was for me. I had to reach down deep. Trust God and allow him to guide my path. Doing this line of skincare gave me hope again. To see the joy on and in other face. Help to restore the joy in my olife. To help restore my passion to serve.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
My kind heart. My boldness In my walk with God. To have a loving heart and still being able to share that love with others. Even with what I have face. I can still operate from a loving place. Be able to share that love with other. Being encouraging to others as well
