Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to J’Kia Tatum. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
J’Kia, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
Transparent Progression was a vision given to me by God in 2018 after surviving domestic violence in marriage. I aspire to help others, both men and women, who were like myself; stuck, depressed, suicidal, and broken from trauma. Adamant to help others walk in true healing, I answered the call.
J’Kia, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
My best source of new clients has been my website and google maps.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
As a young lady, I was abused physically, mentally, and emotionally for over 10 years in marriage. During that time, I didn’t know how to escape or what to do to break the cycles. My life was at stake if I decided to leave. I became very depressed and tempted suicide. I would have done anything just to be out of the marriage, even if that meant dying. I finally picked up the courage to leave, not caring if I would die. That’s when I found myself drawing closer to God. It was on this journey that I heard the call from God and ultimately shaped into the person I am today.
