We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Jimmy Ace Lewis a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Jimmy Ace , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
It’s a great question. I think for me the most meaningful project is what I’m working on right now. The project is a book I’m writing that we will be turning into a film. It’s called “Enter the Power Surge.” I plan on self distributing the book on Amazon and other similar sites. The film will mean a lot to be as well. I’ll be playing one of the leads. It’s a character driven story that will still entertain everyone. Be on the lookout for it on my Instagram page @JimmyAceActor17 Solid runner ups would be “The Stalker” film series I created with my mom. We hired an amazing cast and crew on that. You can support that film by watching it on Amazon, Tubi, and the roku channel it’s absolutely free to watch. The sequel is at this time 80% done and we did our best to improve everything we did on the first one. We were fortunate enough to work with legendary actor Jason Faunt on that. Some other meaningful projects would be “Something bit me” episode 7 (Disney+), Hidden heroes (CBS), an upcoming appearance on an Oxygen network show (can’t say too much just yet), Power Rangers the audio drama (easy to find wherever you get your podcasts), and Power Rangers legacy (a fun fan film on YouTube).

Jimmy Ace , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’ve been acting most of my life. I’ve had the pleasure of working on over 75+ productions ranging from feature films, television, commercials, and a wide variety of acting gigs. I got into the industry because from a young age I’ve always had a passion for entertaining people. I love taking on a new role, something I can really sink my teeth into. Sometimes these roles can be challenging, I may be learning a new skill or filming under heavy costumes or in the extreme heat or cold. I face every challenge like this with a smile on my face knowing what a deep honor it is to work in this industry. I believe that as an actor it’s not just our job to show up and say our lines. It’s our job to bring this character truly to life, be easy to work with, kind to everyone, don’t complain, don’t speak negatively of people you work with, and show up on time (in the film business it’s often said “to be early is to be on time, to be on time is to be late, and to be late is to be fired). Something that has been more prevalent recently are autograph requests. I love getting autograph requests from my fans it always makes my day, it’s my way of saying thank you for sticking around and liking what I do. If you wish to book me for a production or appearance please contact my agent through the proper channels or myself through social media.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
I love this question. I previously stated I love getting autograph requests but I also love getting direct messages from fans and admirers of my work. It truly warms my heart to know that something I created and or performed in provided entertainment and escapism to them. These can be difficult times and to be trusted as an entertainer to take them on a journey with me is a true honor. So keep the kind words coming I’ll never get tired of the positivity and kind words. I don’t care if I hear it a million times it will never get old.

What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?
I personally feel that the best way to support an artist is to watch their work, buy their books, and review their films. Support in any way is a true gift that I hold close to my heart. Unfortunately there can be a lot of trolls and bullying on line when it comes to people’s art. It’s never called for to be hateful to anyone. So when your friend shares about something their in watch it, read it tell your friends about it. Your creative friends and family need all the support they can get especially if their project is an independent book or movie.
