We were lucky to catch up with Jessica Law recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Jessica thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What sort of legacy are you hoping to build. What do you think people will say about you after you are gone, what do you hope to be remembered for?
I hope my legacy will be that i treated others with respect and compassion. that my curiosity about humanity inspired others to ask more questions. that as a leader who encouraged critical and imaginative thinking. someone who was generous with their time and listened. and finally, someone who lived boldly, with integrity, and courage.
(plz inscribe ‘a real one’ on my gravestone)

Jessica, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am a multi-hyphenate creative who has occupied many roles within the commercial, brand, film, and music industry. i took a leap of faith in 2011 and moved from Toronto to Los Angeles with a dream of working as an artist, and with that faith – and a lot of hustling – it lead me to creative producing, directing, styling, art directing, and consulting on projects with global brands, world renowned artists, studios, and non-profit organizations.
I am a creative problem solver, and because of my multidisciplinary approach I have the ability to see all elements of a project, with a focused point of view, and create powerful imagery. I am proud of the work I have made so far, how I collaborate, and the perspective I have when it comes to creation.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My mission in this industry, is to tell stories and create images that have the power to shift culture, widen our reality, and remind us of who we are and what we can become. I aspire to be a part of the movement with leaders who question mainstream culture – yet want to participate in the space to tell different stories and imagine a better future.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
I recently started mentoring young women who are in the beginnings of their career or a project. being a sound board, asking questions, exploring ideas, and supporting them through the industry or creative process has been the most rewarding aspect as of late.
