We were lucky to catch up with Jessica Daniels Harrison recently and have shared our conversation below.
Jessica, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you share a customer success story with us?
You kept telling me that I needed to become a Certified Life Coach, I honestly thought you were just being nice. I didn’t think there was any way in the world that I could coach someone else through life’s problems.
You asked me the final time if I was ready to take the class and told me that I was already doing the work and just needed to “trust God and go forth,” I knew it was part of my assignment to complete this certification. I am so glad that I trusted you and God. This class has been so eye opening and has stretched me beyond what I thought I could do. My cohort was perfect and I felt so comfortable with my classmates, which is what I needed. Coach Jessica, you are such an educator. I loved how you would respond to our questions with a question to make every moment a learning experience. I also appreciate you being down to earth and keeping it real with us. While going through the class, I realized becoming a Certified Life Coach is part of what I was missing to feel like I was fulfilling my passion/purpose of helping people. I am so glad you recognized my love for people and my desire to help people. I am forever grateful for the confidence you have had in me to do the work and be successful.
The work that you and Coach Tory are doing is a gift to the Kingdom and I am so glad that I was able to learn, grow, and become a Certified Professional Life Coach under the Harrison Institute. ~D.H.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
The best source of new clients has been word of mouth. We believe in service with integrity and through this we have gained repeat clients as well as family and friend referrals.
Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?
My co-founder and business partner is my husband, Tory D. Harrison, Sr (Master Coach). We met in the ladies room! When I met my husband, he was cleaning the bathroom in the building where I worked. I remember walking in and kind of startling him (and myself) from the door. I looked at him and said “sorry!” He looked at me and said “no problem, ma’am. I’ll be done in 2 mins!” So, I slowly walked out of the bathroom. I remember thinking OH MY WORD HE’S CUTE! I remember paying attention to him when he worked. I had NEVER met anyone that took so much pride in their job. I’m thinking “who is this guy?” Why is he cleaning these buildings with his head held ALL the way up!? See it wasn’t about WHAT he was doing but rather HOW he was doing it! Outside of how incredibly attractive I thought he was I was drawn to the way he worked. It has been the combination of both our work ethics, grit, discipline, and a lot of prayer that birthed The Harrison Institute. The Harrison Institute was founded on the pillars of God, Family, Love, Community, and Leadership.
