We were lucky to catch up with Jeremy B Redig recently and have shared our conversation below.
Jeremy B, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s jump right into the heart of things. Outsiders often think businesses or industries have much larger profit margins than they actually do – the reason is that outsiders are often unaware of the biggest challenges to profitability in various industries – what’s the biggest challenge to profitability in your industry?
In our line of work, we deal with machines, chemicals, materials, overhead and a lot of travel plus the installs are physically demanding. There are a number of factors that keep a business profitable which is having job site efficiency, Progressive Invoicing for cash flow, and maintaining equipment and inventory, Plus, not making costly mistakes.
Price point has gone down in our industry due to oversaturation and the inability to regulate standards and enforce accountability within our trade. We call it a race to the bottom people are fighting over a job because of price and not quality.

Jeremy B, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I own an operate Floorrescue which began in 2005 out of a desire to do Decorative Concrete Flores and expand my skills. Entering my 20th year in the industry we specialise in all Decorative Concrete systems for Concrete Floors and Epoxy Coatings.
After Covid, I rebranded our company and got online again and started sharing my experience with others and my following and brand grew rather quickly and I ended up helping a lot of people in their businesses decisions on processes and products.
I am now currently seeking to turn this into a business and continue to maintain the mindset of bringing value value to my trade into the next generation of installers.

Have you ever had to pivot?
After sinking $200,000 into a gym in 2019 after many years of success with floorrescue, Covid hit and I Lost the gym and almost lost floorrescue. We had a real hard reset that caused me to get back in the field and start doing the installs myself and it resulted in me getting online and started my journey as a coach
We had to rebuild as we had to move into storage units out of a 10,000 square-foot OFFICE showroom space and it was very humbling to say the least and there are many lessons from that experience that have given me resilience today in my fortitude and character that is helping me launch other businesses and now many people are supportive of me and want to be a part of what we are building And we are going to make a huge difference and lives through our communities

How’d you meet your business partner?
My wife and I met in 2008 and she has become my best friend and she is my business partner and several of the businesses
My good friend and partner in California has been a major strength and two of our businesses and we met as we were discussing some of the trouble with materials and challenges being an installer in our trade
We all share a passion for the industry and care about doing things within integrity which make for a great team
