We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jeremiah Bryant . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jeremiah below.
Hi Jeremiah, thanks for joining us today. Do you think your parents have had a meaningful impact on you and your journey?
Since i was a little boy my parents always told me to improvise and be a leader not a follower! They constantly told me to improvise (ESPECIALLY my father) because i basically was the only child in the house. I have siblings but they didn’t live with me and im the baby. My oldest sister was present but we are 14 years apart. So i was always bored and didn’t know what to do alone. Spending time alone helped me discover dance and my imagination. I really tapped into my creative side as a kid and being able to find ways to entertain myself as child really prepared my career and as an adult cause i truly know how to make a way out of no way. It’s magical. I’m so grateful they taught me not to be a follower but a leader because I wouldn’t be where i am today. As simple as following my dreams. I was hanging with the wrong crowd when i started high school and i was so close to going down the wrong path but having them constantly saying “be a leader not a follower” helped me remember that i needed to change my perspective and get back on track.

Jeremiah, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’ve always been interested in the arts and had a passion for fashion. I’ve been a church boy my entire life so I’ve been involved in choir for awhile. In school as well. I was also apart of a gospel group called Mission 3:16. My god sister and i started it with our cousins and some church kids. I also danced for my god sister. She’s a recording artist. Being on the stage i knew i wanted to do this for a living but it was until i started high school and my best friend encouraged me to audition for a school musical. She was auditioning as well for fun! So i said let’s do it together. So we auditioned with 0 expectations. That night we received a callback email. That week we book the show and I got a LEADING role. That was the start of my musical theater journey. I haven’t stopped since. I’ve always been interested in musicals but didn’t know there was a Broadway. I watched lots of high school musical and musical movies etc. but didn’t know a Broadway existed so when i found out about this life and industry my life changed. Now my styling career didn’t start until 2020 when we had no jobs and the world shut down. I had to make an income haha but it was scary because i really didn’t know if i had the eye to dress someone else but i knew i had an eye! So i started freelancing and when i styled my ex it blew up on social media so thats when i discovered that skill. Now i do both professionally! So much growing to be done but its a blessing to do it for a living.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Most definitely social media. I feel like a lot of people know me or what i do because of it. Also i booked a lot of jobs because of it
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
Networking, collaborating and sharing your work via social media
