Alright, Jenny thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?
I think achieving success means something different to each person depending on their individual goals and circumstances. For me personally success begins with an idea, an idea so compelling that it starts to become real in your mind almost like a vision. As you meditate on this idea an initial step to take leading towards success is creating a plan. Before starting my own business I went through a series of steps to see if this was something I truly desired. I asked myself questions like what do I want to accomplish, what are my intentions, how much will I have to invest both in time and money and how will this affect my life? I also made a list of potential advantages and disadvantages that would come up if and when my business got started. Once I had a plan laid out I was able to smoothly work towards reaching my goal. My determination, organizational skills and self-discipline are qualities that have helped me to be successful not only in my business but in all aspects of my life.

Of course, I would love to! I’m Jenny Parseghian, the owner and founder of Vibrant Sun Travels a full service travel agency catering to discerning leisure and luxury travelers. My love of traveling and exceptional planning skills motivated me to start my own little travel company. The name of my company truly defines who I am as a person. It reflects my passion for bringing vibrant, enriching experiences to travelers and my committment to making their journeys as bright and memorable as the sun. With my client’s best interest in mind I first complete a consultation to learn more about them and their travel expectations. I ask questions like “what is your most cherished memory from a past vacation or do you have a favorite wine?” Learning about my client in this manner allows me to design a more personalized itinerary crafted to their individual preferences.
As a dedicated travel coordinator I offer clients services that surpass those provided by third-party online travel agencies. What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
I clearly remember one of my main concerns as I entered this industry, how would I secure clients? A colleague reassuringly expressed that all it took was for me to make one booking that would result in a satisfied client spreading the word to their friends and family producing a domino effect. And I’m delighted to say that most of my clientele has indeed been through quality referrals from past clients. This has driven me to continually exceed my client’s expectations as I’m committed to ensuring their complete satisfaction knowing that happy customers will continue to bring me new business.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Ahhh good old Social Media! My presence on social media is a continual work in progress. Early on I decided to focus on my Instagram business account as my primary social media platform. I’ve learned that placing more emphasis on the quality of my content over the quantity is what attracts engagement and exposure. As the sole operator of @vibrantsuntravels I have generated and posted all of my content. That said, time is a factor that prevents me from being more active on my Instagram page. I quickly discovered that managing a social media page is a second job! My advice to anyone starting to build a social media presence would be to showcase what defines you. Set boundaries as to how much time you dedicate to social media. Think about what your purpose is in investing your time on social media, what are your intentions, your goals, reflecting on the pros and cons. Don’t just post to post! Post with a purpose to inform, inspire and educate. I use my Instagram platform as a means to draw exposure to my small business along with providing travel inspiration, ideas and current travel updates.
