Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jean-Paul Flerin. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Jean-Paul, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
Starting JeanPaulxo as a clothing brand – is an extension of myself as an artist & professional. I used the skills I learned working for major companies and brands to start my own empire of what clothing & branding should look like – online to offline or vice versa.

Jean-Paul, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I started music in 2018 ish? made an ep, went onto dropping my self titled debut album (which will be remastered in 2026), and i just dropped my new single “Want More” from my sophomore album.
I created a clothing brand to show what a real connection people can and should have with artists they highly respect, enjoy, or share common interests with. JeanPaulxo can stand alone or be used in conjunction with the artist and music. As time goes on it will make itself more apparent – I start off in my community be sharing my expertise to atlantic station’s creators market – & within my community at Koncept house on metropolitan parkway in atlanta.
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
I had to unlearn trying to control everything – control your controllable variables….. everything will be a cause and effect of itself, and it’s how you react to the change or adaptation to business.
During and after covid – retail stores took a major decline in foot traffic and overall revenue – so I had a conversation with one of the store manager’s and it stuck with me and I figured out 2 things. 1 I need to leave this store, 2 I can’t control what other people will do, it’s how I adapt. I ended up getting a job at a high end fashion brand to polish my skill sets.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
I currently work in the corporate field ( something done on the computer ) which is less demanding than being a visual manger in any retail store – I decided to start my own clothing brand to ensure I get the most use out of my talents, and skill sets. I’m an independent pop artist, I use my same marketing skills and talent and attention to detail for that as well. I feel like the pivot was good for myself to push myself beyond just an artist but an entrepreneur during the current days we are in – the economy isn’t all too great, and people…. the audience including myself want to see more from an entertainer …. even reality stars they pivot from tv to music to cooking to back to tv… that’s how they keep their audience and gain new awareness. See a pattern?
