Growing up, I was immersed in the world of entrepreneurship and entertainment, thanks to my parents who were both business owners. My Dad, in particular, ran a video production company, and I vividly recall accompanying him to negotiate a deal for filming a Church TV Ministry. It was a pivotal moment, as shortly thereafter, I found myself negotiating similar agreements over the phone. This experience paved the way for the establishment of my own thriving video production company, with sermons reaching audiences through cable networks across the Inland Empire.

Reflecting on those formative experiences, I realize that observing my Dad was a catalyst. It instilled in me the confidence and fortitude to make those crucial calls, setting the foundation for my entrepreneurial journey. Though my Dad has since passed away, I’m certain he would take immense pride in knowing that I’ve launched my own streaming service, Melaninflicks.com.

How did you build your audience on social media?

Our standout show, Veganish, has fostered a substantial following on these platforms, with viewers eagerly tracking host Lulu Mason’s exploration of vegan eateries across Los Angeles. This captivating journey has captivated audiences, establishing Lulu as a prominent figure in the vegan community.
