Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jason Allen. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Jason, thanks for joining us today. Coming up with the idea is so exciting, but then comes the hard part – executing. Too often the media ignores the execution part and goes from idea to success, skipping over the nitty, gritty details of executing in the early days. We think that’s a disservice both to the entrepreneurs who built something amazing as well as the public who isn’t getting a realistic picture of what it takes to succeed. So, we’d really appreciate if you could open up about your execution story – how did you go from idea to execution?
I was already driving dump trucks for 8 years, but what was lacking was the growth potential- financially. I wanted to work hard for myself instead of working hard for someone else.
I knew the business like the back of my hand, but finding the right truck that a) didn’t break the bank and b) got the job done was my first hurdle. I searched for the right truck for 2 months all while simultaneously setting up a business bank account, registering for an LLC, obtaining an EIN, establishing insurance, a website and branding for what was to become Allen & Son’s Trucking.
After meeting with and test driving the vehicle 2 times, I purchased my first dump truck which my family loving named Bleu.
I told everyone and anyone about my new business venture and started posting on social media; once news spread I started getting more and more calls for work and I’ve been blessed enough to be going strong ever since.

Jason, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
After nearly a decade of hands-on experience driving dump trucks, I decided to channel my expertise into establishing Allen & Sons Trucking.
Having spent years navigating the ins and outs of the dump truck industry, I recognized a niche for personalized services. We specialize in efficient materials hauling, providing a range of solutions tailored to our clients’ needs.
As a dedicated dump truck and materials hauler, we tackle the logistical challenges of transporting construction materials, debris, and more. We don’t just cater to BIG commercial projects, but we service the individual property owner as well. Our commitment to timely and reliable services sets us apart. Clients appreciate our attention to detail and the peace of mind that comes with entrusting their hauling needs to a seasoned professional.
At Allen & Sons Trucking, we solve the problem of streamlined transportation for our clients, ensuring materials reach their destination promptly and safely. I take immense pride in the early success of the business, and this positive trajectory fuels my optimism for the future of Allen & Sons Trucking.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I’ve also built a network of professionals in which to source quality material and work. I don’t build the houses, I just haul and deliver the material, but through my networking connections I can be the middle man for my clients to get the job done the right way.
I also think my character has helped, I’m not in the business of ripping anyone off. I pride myself on providing quality material and in a timely manner. I am friendly with my clients and I like to know the details of their project in order to better advise and serve them.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
Word of mouth referrals have proven to be the most effective way of acquiring clients. Satisfied customers sharing their positive experiences with others has not only built a strong reputation for our reliability and quality of service but has also consistently brought in new clients. The personal recommendations create a trust that traditional advertising methods often struggle to achieve.
