Hi Jasmine, thanks for joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?

Hi, my name is Jasmine Brown and I am a digital content creator. In 2014, I had my first child. This was when I decided to shift all of my attention and energy towards my family and my children. I created an Instagram account on day one and I had always had a “social media presence” if you will, I just never considered monetizing it. My purpose behind a presence at all was merely for support and educating others. Well, and creating memories for myself along the way, since this is something I’ve always done anyways. It all just made sense to BE on social media. For me.

However, after my second child in 2015, Instagram really started booming. With just… people. Everyone was rushing this application and making worldwide connections, INSTANTLY. It was such a beautiful thing to be a part of and to witness all in one. Of course with people, comes the need for someone to make money. And with what I had “worked” towards organically, I decided to take a plunge. I decided to start valuing my skills and what I had to offer. And to my surprise, it went well.

Life went on, and now we’re here, in 2022. And let me tell you. Monetizing on social media has really made its way into our world. That being said, instead of just following a “trend” , why not take what we can already do as human beings, and make some money off of it if the opportunity arises?

My mission is to show others (and my children) what having a social media presence means and how to have the confidence to use their OWN voice to their advantage. I’m tired of thinking that social media is bad. It’s happening. So let’s shape our minds into using it for good. Say what you want to say. Be who you want to be. Interact with like minded individuals. Make some money off things you already love. Live your life.

Who am I? I’m a fiancé to an amazing man, his name is Mason and I’m a mother of three, Sylar, Milarose and Duke. They are who I am. At this point in my life, they are what drives me towards success. Towards a better future.

When being yourself on the internet, sometimes it can really hinder the way you see yourself. We’re constantly evolving, and with all the influences of others at your fingertips, it can often become confusing or consuming even.

Stick true to you. And what you stand for. Take it, and speak. Connect with others. Share YOUR story. It’s that simple.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

Of course my favorite advice is to be yourself. You can’t go wrong when you’re being you.

When it comes to cultivating art in a social space, take… your… time. Never rush the process. Put your all into it. Care about it. Think it through. But when you’re done, make sure you do it. The right people will SEE you and will be willing to work with you. Be consistent. Persistent. Some of the most rich entrepreneurs have failed and been told that they weren’t what was “needed”. NEXT! There are so many opportunities out there. Network, make friends, talk to others. Be with like minded individuals.

Can you talk to us about how you funded your business?

When I first started monetizing on Instagram, I started by reaching out to companies with products that I already supported and loved and used in my home. And I would do this for free. I would do it because it was fair for everyone. It made sense. And from there I was able to build a portfolio and my work started to be sought out by others. That’s when I came up with prices. And began making money.
