We recently connected with Jamø and have shared our conversation below.
JAMØ, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
The first time I knew I wanted to pursue a creative path professionally was at a Flume concert in 2019. I’ll never forget how the music connected with the crowd on this insane, emotional level—it felt bigger than just a show. I remember standing there, overwhelmed, thinking, “I want to create something that does this for people.”
Music has always been in me, though. As a kid, I didn’t suck my thumb—I clicked my teeth in rhythms. Guitar Hero was my first obsession, and I begged for an electric guitar every year, but it never happened. My dad didn’t really see the point in music, and honestly, that stung. But when I discovered music production and DJing later, it was like everything finally fell into place. I realized I didn’t need permission to chase this.
That Flume concert was the turning point. It wasn’t about fame or attention; it was about creating something that could connect people on a deeper level. I felt like God was calling me to step into this purpose, and since then, it’s been about working hard to make that vision a reality. I’m proud of how far I’ve come, but I know this is just the beginning.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My name is Jameson, but I go by JAMØ in the music world. I’m a Denver-based DJ and producer with a passion for creating music that brings people together. My journey into this industry started with a love for music that’s been with me as long as I can remember. As a kid, I was obsessed with rhythm, Guitar Hero, and just the idea of creating something unique. But it wasn’t until I went to a Flume concert in 2019 that I realized I wanted to pursue music professionally. That experience sparked something in me—a realization that music could connect people on a deeper, almost spiritual level—and I felt like I was being called to follow that path.
As a DJ, I specialize in house music, EDM, and remixes, blending high-energy beats with emotional undertones. I perform at events ranging from frat parties and college shows to club gigs and even internationally. One thing that sets me apart is my focus on connection—my goal isn’t just to get people dancing (though that’s definitely part of it), but to create an experience where the crowd feels united and uplifted. I play a lot of remixes in my sets, which lets me take familiar songs and reimagine them in a way that resonates with the crowd. That interaction and shared energy—it’s everything to me.
Beyond performances, I’ve also started branching out with creative projects like merchandise drops, building a strong online community, and even experimenting with virtual shows, like a Minecraft rave that went viral. My music has been featured by DJs like Loud Luxury and Two Friends on Sirius XM, which was a huge milestone for me.
What I’m most proud of, though, is the effort and authenticity I put into my work. I’ve never stuck with something as long as I’ve stuck with music, and seeing the progress I’ve made feels like a testament to what happens when you pour your heart into something. My brand is all about connection, creativity, and bringing people together, whether it’s through live shows, music, or even just the visuals I create for my sets.
For anyone following me or considering working with me, I’d want them to know that this is bigger than just me. Everything I create is meant to serve a purpose: to connect people, to inspire, and to show that music can be something transformative. I’m always striving to push boundaries while staying true to who I am, and I hope that comes through in everything I do.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
For me, the most rewarding aspect of being an artist is the connection I get to create with people. There’s nothing like seeing a crowd completely lose themselves in the music, all moving together like one. It’s this shared energy that makes everything I do worth it. Knowing that something I created—a beat, a remix, or even a full set—can bring people joy, help them feel seen, or even give them a moment to escape whatever they’re going through is incredibly fulfilling.
It’s also rewarding on a personal level because music is the most authentic way I express myself. When I’m DJing, it feels like I’m laying it all out there—my emotions, my passion, and my purpose. To have people resonate with that and respond to it is a feeling I can’t even put into words. It’s humbling, too, because I know it’s not just about me; it’s about something bigger—creating moments and memories for people to hold onto.
At the end of the day, it’s the connection and impact that fuel me. Whether it’s one person coming up after a show to say the set meant something to them, or a crowd of hundreds vibing together, those moments remind me why I started this in the first place.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
My goal is to create music and experiences that bring people together on a deeper level—where it’s not just about the beats or the bass drops but about connecting through something bigger. I truly believe music has the power to unite people, to break down barriers, and to speak to emotions we don’t always have words for. For me, it’s about creating those moments where the crowd feels like one, where they’re not just dancing but experiencing something meaningful together.
My mission is rooted in my faith and a belief that this gift of music is a purpose I’ve been called to pursue. It’s not about fame or money for me; it’s about pointing toward something higher and creating a space where people can feel uplifted, inspired, and connected. Whether it’s through a live set, a remix, or even the visuals I create for my shows, I want people to leave feeling like they were part of something special—something bigger than just a night out.
At the heart of it, my journey is about spreading joy, love, and unity through music. I want to inspire people, show them the power of connection, and hopefully make their lives a little brighter, even if it’s just for a moment. That’s what keeps me going and pushes me to keep growing as an artist.
