We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jamie Proper. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jamie below.
Jamie, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today I’m sure there have been days where the challenges of being a business owner force you to think about what it would be like to just have a regular job. When’s the last time you felt that way? Did you have any insights from the experience?
Oh my gosh, yes I am 100x happier as a business owner than I was working for someone else. Some days I do wonder what it would be like to “turn off” at 5pm but who am I kidding? I would go crazy! Building a business can be exhausting some days but the only more rewarding thing Ive ever experienced, is being a mom. Running into rejection and people saying “no” can take a toll on you and some days I feel like it makes me a less patient mom but I know what I am doing is to build a life for us and give my son the best life possible.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I have been in real estate for about 12 years now. I’ve had my hand in just about every area of the business. Started cold calling for a small office and here I am today, owning and running a business. Its been a crazy ride. What sets me apart from others in this business, is my experience. Running a negotiation team, I have negotiated and closed more deals than the top 1% would close in 50 years. Im able to look at every situation from a birds eye view and problem solve without emotion. Coaching agents to be able to do the same thing is what drives me. There is nothing better than pouring into an agent, team, or brokerage and WATCHING IT WORK!

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Relationship are 1000% what helped build by reputation. While most others look at competition as just that, I knew that having them on my side, would get me further. We all have the same goal, so why not work together to get there?

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
Surprisingly enough for me, social media has been so far. I consistently post videos with value and tips for the industry to show my expertise and testimonial videos to entice them to ask what I can do for them.
