We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jakisia Lafortune . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jakisia below.
Hi Jakisia, thanks for joining us today. Taking care of customers isn’t just good business – it is often one of the main reasons folks went into business in the first place. So, we’d love to get a conversation going around how to best help clients feel appreciated – maybe you can share something you’ve done or seen someone do that’s been really effective at helping a customer feel valued?
I believe that going above and beyond for my customers is the most meaningful aspect of my business. I enjoy working outside of operating hours to meet my customers needs. For example if there is a concern my customer is having whether it’s understanding how to use a specific product or viewing their email confirmations I am always happy and willing to assist with anything they may face.
Jakisia, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My brand, TheLushBox was founded in Tallahassee Florida of 2019. As a broke and depressed college student I turned my focus to skincare which at first was a hobby of mine. I’d deliver and pass out soaps around the college campus, give them to post office workers as well as my professors. I instantly got lots of great feedback and was motivated to start my own skincare brand. TheLushBox focuses primarily on the needs of skin such as feminine health, acne and discoloration. I offer products such as soaps, body washes, oils and more. These products are extremely special to me because I am happy when i can make an impact in someone’s life. My most favorited compliment is “I will never go back to using regular soaps” my soaps aren’t just a regular bar in stores. But they build confidence and makes you feel luxurious..
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Word of mouth has been my biggest impact with business. I feel that once someone tells their friend and they decide to order us spreads like a wild fire. I love hearing that someone has been recommended to try my products. That gives me a sense that the word is getting out which i look forward to.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
Having great customer service and building that one on one relationship with my customers. I don’t view them as customers, I see them as friends and we can all relate to most of our skincare needs. I love the bond snd sisterhood I’ve built with many of my customers.
