We recently connected with Jair Robinson and have shared our conversation below.
Jair, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
In reality, everything you do is risky.
Existing itself is risky. I constantly have gotten into my head about who I am. Being someone who doesn’t fit conventional norms, I feel that being “Jair Robinson” is also risky. Exemplifying myself can bring critique or praise, but in itself, it’s something I feel that I always have had to do no matter the flak, because I can’t live life faking it. Conviction.
Every time I put a video or song on the internet, a piece of art or an opinion that comes from my mind, there is a level of risk there, but also potential. The potential for rewards, and having others being impacted; it’s there as well. My goal is to not hold back and put the full Jair Robinson experience out to the world, without fear of the worst that can happen, and just let the audience handle the burden of my presence.
I’ve learned to just do it, because sometimes the risk doesn’t turn out as valuable as you thought it could be, but it rarely ever turns out as bad as the ruminations in your head.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Hello Everyone.
I am Jair Robinson, aka The Boy, aka Jair Robinson. Aka Mr. Jair Robinson.
I wouldn’t necessarily call myself a musician, producer, mixing engineer, actor, or director, even though I do all those things. I am an experience. THE EXPERIENCE.
I got into the industry after filming videos for other artists and groups. I started with making outlandish videos of myself, the first being me repeating my own name.
The world went crazy with just a video of me saying, “Jair Robinson”, so I thought maybe if I added some more words, we could make things juicier.
I was cultivated in a heavy science background, receiving awards for physics research. Yes, I’m pretty much a rocket scientist and probably Einstein’s grandson. I applied that intellectual upbringing to every area of my life. For music specifically, I studied digital signal processing for electrical signals. So mixing is something I understand concerning filters, waveforms, and frequencies.
I started releasing art again during 2024, and whether it’s a song, a short video, a voice-over I am featured in (e.g. Meat Canyon or Flash Gitz), or a film I work on (e.g. Hunted or I Want It. I Got It. I Need It.), I tend to let the art become envisioned in my head, then bring it to the real world. Simply, it’s a gift to let it exist so others can experience what came out of you; something that you have enjoyed for so long. Once you create it, others can enjoy it too. It didn’t exist until I brought it here, on your planet. And that’s one of my favorite aspects of art.

Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
I believe the Bible is the most fascinating book that has ever existed. Even more, it’s given freely. Many people believe it’s hogwash. Many people have chosen to die for what it says. I am fascinated that a book can have extremely polar outcomes in people’s lives on such a massive scale and for many years. I read more books than most people. My bookshelf is voluptuous and sexy. I can finish a book in a week, and master the content In it. I have spent hundreds of hours reading the Bible, and yet I still receive revelation. Reading proverbs line by line and paying attention to what Jesus says has revealed to me what is truly reality compared to our perceived reality. Also, it’s the de facto decree on human nature. Reading it has ultimately allowed me to understand people and their motives more than studying psychology.

Any resources you can share with us that might be helpful to other creatives?
A friend told me years ago that you have everything you need right now. I still believe that that is a wonderful viewpoint to have because it forces you to be resourceful. I try to do everything with excellence. However, some things are better done simply. And instead of thinking that you need more equipment, people, or platforms, this viewpoint encourages you to be ingenious. That viewpoint is one of the best resources to have within itself. Also, considering the neighborhood you live in, your friends, the city, and public facilities (libraries, parks), all as resources is a wise move to make. It’s important to take inventory of everything within you and around you, then use them to your advantage.
