We recently connected with Jai’koa Parham and have shared our conversation below.
Jai’koa , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
One of my favorite projects I’ve done would have to be when I partnered with Reebok and Champs. They reached out to me to do a social media collaboration in which they sent me over 20 pairs of the latest basketball legend Allen Iverson’s inspired shoe. I contacted a good friend of mine at a local high school where we gave all the shoes to the boys and girls basketball team. Being able to give back to the community always makes me happy!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
My name is Jai’Koa, a 28 year old Creative Director and Social media Influencer. I am originally from Heerlen , Netherlands. I spent most of my youth in Anchorage , Alaska. Currently I do quite a bit of traveling back-and-forth Atlanta to Los Angeles doing various projects and activities while giving back to the communities. One of the things I would say that helps me set myself apart from the rest would have to be my unique ability to relate to everyone rich , poor , young or old there’s always something I can find in common while remaining my genuine true self especially when working on new projects.. I work with many different brands as well as nonprofits to try to bridge the gap as best as I can for up-and-coming creatives. I originally started off as a dancer before transitioning over into modeling and the creative directing world. Overtime I have gained quite a large following on social media platforms. My biggest goal for my followers/supporters is for them to see a regular guy who is unapologetically himself regardless of any situation refuses to give up on his dreams. I want them to feel inspired and motivated to do the same whether it’s starting a brand , moving out of their small town or taking a trip somewhere !
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
I would say the most rewarding aspect of being a creative is the freedom. There’s no right or wrong way of doing anything. You can always push the boundaries as far as your imagination can take you. Thinking outside the box or even living outside of it doing your own thing is what makes it unique and gives you such a liberating feeling.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
When it comes to building a large social media platform. I would have to say it’s about finding your niche or what you’re most passionate about. Once you figure that out it’s just a matter of posting consistently until overtime you’ve figured out your unique theme of the story that you want to tell viewer. What is it you want them to take away from every time they see a post of yours or go onto your page.
