We recently connected with Jacques Lyles and have shared our conversation below.
Jacques, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today How did you learn to do what you do? Knowing what you know now, what could you have done to speed up your learning process? What skills do you think were most essential? What obstacles stood in the way of learning more?
I learned how to become a content creator by watching other content, creators, and some of their ideas and the things that they put out as well and using that to inspire myself and the content that I like to put out into the world.
Knowing what I know now, I would have taken the route of taking my contact creation, more seriously, and by trying to expand on it and giving it more time and effort by learning more skills.
Skills that I feel like her mostly central is learning how to just work your camera in the way that you want me to shoot and also just learning how to get comfortable in front of a camera as well whether you’re by yourself or even in public
The only obstacle that stood in the way from me, learning more would be other creators, not wanting to share, but I look at that as a challenge to take and see what they do and really study exactly what they’re doing so then you can make it your own and make it better and perfected the way that works best for you

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
What got me into becoming a content creator and the influencer is the passion behind wanting to share not just my story but also be able to relate to others that have the same story if not similar to my own
And it started in 2021 when we had Covid and wanting to express joy and excitement as well as putting out videos on how to better yourself and have better discipline and self development and looking back at your life and learning how to navigate it and being able to upgrade your life and lifestyle with better actions for who you are and who you’re wanting to become
So my content now is about who I am and the lifestyle that I live, but also teaching people along the way, especially young men and men of today how to become more hygienic and how to be financially better and what lifestyle best suits them and learning how to live within that and just enjoying that and enjoying being out and about in the world

Have you ever had to pivot?
There was a moment when I was starting to create content on a consistent basis, and it was shifting from the more funny type of content because I felt as if that content was good for just the laughs and not good for people being able to take me serious on a more consistent basis
And I also started to just fall out of love with the type of content that I was creating, and I wanted to shift to content that could make a potential difference in not just my life, but also the lives of others, especially young men and teaching them how to become a man because I was one of those young kids that didn’t have a attentive father figure in my life and I wanted to teach lessons that I felt should have been taught to me to them so that they didn’t have to wonder
So then I made my content about that and just some of the life lessons that I’ve learned along the way as well and also just some of the fun things that came along with it too

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding part of being a creative and today’s society is the ability to be able to express myself, not only in person when I meet people that like and enjoy my content, but also being able to make and have an effect on that community of people as well
It being able to reach out to those that it’s made a difference in their life, but also knowing that it’s made a difference in other people’s lives and being able to just meet new people and also being able to share stories with one another
