We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Isaac Sanders a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Isaac, thanks for joining us today. Do you wish you had started you own firm sooner?
Being completely honest I start 8 right when I was meant to timing ~ is truly everything I’m grounded and exactly where I needed to be and I wouldn’t change a thing everything happens for a reason and I wouldn’t be here without overcoming challenges and obstacles.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I appreciate the mentorship of Coach Patterson, Coach Marc, Coach Kaa, and numerous college coaches throughout my basketball journey. My BBA Family, Haftr Hawks Family, and Apex Sports Group have also played significant role in shaping me as a coach and individual, with their coaches bringing valuable experience from playing at the collegiate or overseas level. My greatest achievement is helping young athletes secure
opportunities to compete at the next level through my connections, hard work, and passion for the sport.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
My secret to building a loyal audience is simple: authenticity.
I’ve never tried to be someone I’m not or conform to the status quo.
By putting my head down and working hard every day, I’ve been able to make a positive impact on those around me, whether it’s through coaching, mentoring, or just being a good role model.
When you prioritize serving others, you’ll find that people are drawn to you. I strive to lead by example, showcasing my
dedication and love for what I do.
How do you keep your team’s morale high?
To successfully manage a team and maintain high morale, I recommend leading with a level head, rather than emotions.
Decisions should be based on more than just temporary feelings. Building strong relationships outside of the workplace or playing field is vital, as it’s the chemistry among team members that truly matters, not just biology. At the end of the day, we’re all human, and empathy and understanding go a long way.
