Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Ieashe Deal. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Alright, Ieashe thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. If you could go back in time do you wish you had started your business sooner or later?

If I could go back in time I would have started my business sooner. My mother has always been the guru of creations in my eyes, but it did not start with her. Growing up my mother was always working on something it did not matter what it was. I picked up some of that creativeness throughout the years. I feel like if I would of started in middle school or even high school I would be so much further in my business than I am now. If I would of started sooner I feel like I would of been able to get through trial and error phase and have my craft at perfection. There is so much more for me to learn and do in regards to my craft especially if I want to perfect it. Since I started my business sooner than later I feel that there are a lot of obstacles that I face that I may or may not have faced sooner. Before I started making candles and wax melts I did bath bombs and failed over and over again and it got to the point where I was so frustrated that I quit! A couple months later after talking to God and motivation from family and friends I got right back to work. I am glad that even though I started later I am still in the process of learning and growing.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

I have always loved crafting, but it was not until I got older that made me want to dig deeper into what all I could do. I make soy candles and wax melts, bath bombs and also resin designs. In the beginning there were still some trials that I faced, but if anyone ever came to me and stated that they were not satisfied I made sure I did what needed to done in order to get the situation rectified. I am proud of myself because even though I faced different obstacles in perfecting my craft I am making sure that I research all the things that can make sure that I am able to provide that amazing product and even customer service. As I continue to perfect my craft I hope to reach someone who is willing to give my business a chance!!

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?

For me it is not only relaxing, but it is also pleasing for me to hear that my product and service is something that my clientele likes or enjoys. To know that they could of went somewhere else and came to me to create something for them makes me feel good about myself and keeps me motivated to keep going.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?

My goal is to be able to work for myself and still be able to provide. I also want to be able to give back to communities that I grew up in. Most importantly my goal is to make sure that I am providing a great experience for my customers.
