We were lucky to catch up with Holly Swift recently and have shared our conversation below.
Holly, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Alright, so you had your idea and then what happened? Can you walk us through the story of how you went from just an idea to executing on the idea
Our Story: A God-Planted Dream
In January 2024, while still on maternity leave from my nursing job, I was doing what many moms do—planning my toddler’s 2nd birthday party. As I scrolled through Pinterest and Instagram for inspiration, something unexpected happened: I discovered balloon artistry… and something in me lit up.
The colors, the joy, the creativity—it stirred something deeper than just party planning. It felt like a gift God had tucked away in my heart and was now revealing in His perfect timing.
My sister, who already owned a balloon and event planning business, generously offered to teach me the basics. From there, I dove in—watching YouTube tutorials, reading, practicing, learning everything I could. What started as a simple interest quickly became a passion. I realized that I didn’t just love planning parties—I loved helping people celebrate life.
It was a God-given joy I didn’t know I was missing.
That’s when my business was born.
An Unexpected Assignment
During one event setup, a client approached me and asked if I could fully plan and coordinate a luxury baby shower. I had never taken on something that large before—but I felt peace in saying yes.
As I searched for a venue, it quickly became clear how limited the options were—especially for something climate-controlled and elegant. It was September in Kentucky, and many venues were either booked, unresponsive, or simply not suited for the occasion.
And that’s when the Lord whispered something to my heart:
“There’s a need here. And I’m calling you to fill it.”
The Vision Begins
In May of 2024, I brought the idea of building a venue to my husband. He was hesitant, understandably—but ultimately supportive. We started looking for land, praying that God would open the right door.
Our first offer was accepted… and then unexpectedly fell through. I was heartbroken. But I clung to my faith, knowing that if God had truly called us to this, He would make a way.
Romans 8:28 reminded me: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”
We kept searching. And that’s when a friend suggested we reach out to Breck United, who had previously listed land for sale. It was no longer on the market, but we asked anyway.
The first time I walked the property, I felt it in my spirit:
This was it.
Close to town, yet peaceful and private. Surrounded by nature’s beauty. It felt like God had handpicked this place just for us.
After a long wait—including a city council vote—our offer was accepted. We closed in September 2024, and our dream began to take shape.
Faith in the Details
As we started designing the venue, we knew we wanted something different—a place that reflected both beauty and purpose. Our area had beautiful rustic barns and classic white venues, but I felt called to combine the best of both: a modern white barn, timeless yet fresh, warm yet elegant.
We brought in an architect and engineer and submitted our plans to the Kentucky Building and Planning Department. The process was slow and filled with waiting. But even in the delays, I saw God’s faithfulness.
Finally, in March 2025, we received our state approval.
And Then the Rain Came
Just when we were ready to break ground, one of the rainiest seasons in years rolled in. It felt like another setback—but again, I reminded myself that God’s timing is never wrong.
As of July 2025, the barn is dried in—the structure is up, the roof is on, and the dream is standing. Every beam, every board is being placed with prayer and purpose. Our planned grand opening is Spring 2026.
Rooted in Purpose
What began as balloons turned into a calling. A business. And now, a venue built on faith.
This journey has not been easy—but it has been led by God every step of the way. I don’t take lightly the opportunity to create a space where people gather to celebrate, honor milestones, and most importantly, glorify God through life’s biggest moments.
We’re not just building a venue—we’re creating a place for God’s goodness to be celebrated.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My name is Holly Swift, and I’m the founder of a faith-led event planning business and owner of a modern white barn venue opening in Spring 2026. I’m a wife, mama, registered nurse by trade—and someone who never expected to find herself in the world of events, until God wrote it into my story.
In early 2024, while on maternity leave and planning my toddler’s second birthday party, I fell in love with the joy and creativity of event design. With guidance from my sister and a heart full of curiosity, I dove into learning everything I could. At first, it started with balloon decor, but over time, I realized that my true passion was in planning and coordinating entire celebrations from start to finish.
What began as a creative spark quickly became a calling. I discovered that I love walking with people through their biggest moments—removing stress, adding beauty, and handling every detail with care. That passion, paired with a lot of prayer and trust, led to the launch of my business.
What We Offer
Today, I specialize in event planning and coordination, helping clients bring their vision to life through detailed, thoughtful, and heart-filled service. Whether it’s a baby shower, bridal celebration, milestone party, or ministry event—I work closely with each client to make sure the day flows seamlessly, reflects their values, and feels unforgettable.
In Spring 2026, we’re expanding our mission with the opening of our very own venue: a modern white barn, designed to be both elegant and inviting. Born out of a real need in our community for a climate-controlled, accessible, and peaceful event space, this venue will offer both convenience and charm—within Hardinsburg city limits, yet surrounded by Kentucky’s natural beauty.
We are currently accepting bookings for events starting May 1, 2026

What I’m Most Proud Of
I’m proud of trusting God when this dream seemed out of reach. I’m proud of every client who trusted me with their most meaningful moments. And I’m proud that we’re creating something lasting—a place that will host weddings, baby showers, family milestones, and more for years to come.

I show up with excellence, integrity, and a servant’s heart—because I believe events aren’t just about pretty details. They’re about people, and the memories we’re entrusted to help create.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
One of the most defining moments in my journey—and a true test of my resilience—came when I first decided to pursue the idea of building a venue.
After much prayer, dreaming, and research, we found a piece of property that felt perfect. I was so hopeful. Our offer was accepted, and I started to imagine everything: the layout, the design, the events we would host, the lives we would touch. It felt like the start of something big.
And then, without warning, the deal fell through—at no fault of our own.
I was crushed. I had poured my heart into the vision. I remember sitting with the disappointment, wondering if I had misheard God or moved too quickly. But even in my discouragement, I felt this deep peace. A quiet voice reminding me:
“This isn’t the end—it’s redirection.”
As a woman of faith, I’ve learned that closed doors are sometimes God’s greatest gifts. That moment taught me that resilience isn’t about pushing through with force—it’s about trusting God’s plan when yours unravels.
We kept searching, even when it felt exhausting. And eventually, through a friend’s suggestion, we discovered a piece of land that wasn’t even on the market. We pursued it anyway, and after another long wait—including a city council vote—we received the call: our offer was accepted.
And this time, it was the right door.
That season taught me so much—not just about patience and persistence, but about surrender. Resilience, for me, looks like getting back up, trusting again, and moving forward even when the path doesn’t look like what I expected.
Now, as we watch our venue come to life—walls going up, dreams becoming visible—I’m reminded that God’s delays are never denials. They’re setups for something better.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Honestly, I believe it all started with how I showed up for people—from day one.
When I first began, I didn’t have the fanciest tools or the most experience. What I did have was a genuine heart to serve, an eye for detail, and a deep desire to make every client feel seen and valued. I treated every event—no matter how big or small—with the same level of care and intentionality, as if it were my own.
That consistency in going above and beyond laid the foundation for my reputation.
Word of mouth became one of my biggest blessings. Clients shared their experiences because they felt cared for—not just as customers, but as people. I’ve always believed that when you build a business rooted in honesty, kindness, excellence, and faith, people notice—and they remember how you made them feel.
One of the things I’m most intentional about is timely communication. In the event world, where details change quickly and timelines matter, I make it a priority to respond quickly and clearly. My clients know they can count on me to be accessible, responsive, and solution-oriented—because peace of mind is part of the service I offer.
In an industry where stress can easily take over, my goal has always been to bring peace, clarity, and joy into the planning process.
And most importantly—I give God the credit. I believe that when we invite Him into our work, He blesses it in ways we could never do on our own. That’s what truly sets this brand apart.
So if I had to sum it up, I’d say my reputation has been built through:
-Consistency in excellence
-Heart-led service
-Honest and timely communication
-Faith-driven purpose
-And a commitment to honoring people in every interaction
As we move into the next season with the launch of our venue, those values will only deepen. Because the mission remains the same: to create space for meaningful, joy-filled celebrations—and to do it all for God’s glory.
