We recently connected with Holly Lindblom and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Holly, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
Hello I’m Holly from Holly’s Haunts… And in this field I think I take many risks. Risks that involve danger. But also life changing risks… Taking myself 2,000 miles from home.. On a couple occasions.. Moving to another state. Is a risk. But getting the most out of it. Is a adventure..
I was always gonna end up in New Orleans eventually. When I lived in Texas in the earlier 2000s I was the closest. But when I moved to Kentucky. I was thinking. Am I ever going to be this close again? So I took a risk and drove through all the paranormal hotspots. Memphis where all the Victorian mansions are.. And then to the crossroads where Robert Johnson sold his soul for rock n roll…
Natchez where the biggest Octagon is located. Longwood, Nutts folley. Also where they filmed True bloods Mississippi vampire kings home. Also in Natchez is the kings tavern. Where horrible stories of two murderous brothers wrecked mayhem and torture.. My favorite of Mississippi would have to be Longwood.(I love Denis O hare) I can also say I love watching and going to see VAMPIRE movie filming locations…. So back to my story. On that adventure I made it to the Windsor Ruins a old burned down mansion in the woods..
Down to Vicksburg where you find The Mcraven tour house. The most Haunted house in all of Mississippi. I had a private tour and it was creepy, all the deaths that occurred in that place is creep factor 10!
I finally made my way down to Louisiana.. New Orleans being my destination. I stopped at the most Haunted house in America. The Myrtle’s Plantation One of the most spooky places I have ever been too. The evidence alone is clear. The pictures of the ghostly children and of chole. Would make a non believer… Believe. I really want to go back there of all places
Making my way down to New Orleans there is the haunted Oak alley… Where interview with the vampire was filmed. This was louis house and I had to see it in person. Beautiful place my tour guide said they have seen a lady in black… on the upstairs balcony.
Finally getting down to New Orleans I walked and drove to all the haunted spots. Decided to grab a eat and only put 10 in the parking permit. which to my defense I thought I’d be back sooner. Drinks started flowing. The smoke in the air was heavy and I was having so much fun lost track of time… Came back.. the car was Booted. If I only had put in that 20 dollars…I would have saved 180… But. I took care of it and was on my way. That was a lesson. Pay the extra and get the hours. Trust me… You will take longer than you think. There is so much to see. Being in New Orleans was a dream come true. It was walking the streets of interview with a vampire. The black plague. Yellow fever. Aleister crowley.. Pirates and debauchery that oozes onto the street. It’s the place to be!
I felt saving up a lil money and taking that risk was worth it. The pictures that I captured there I’m so proud of. It’s so spooky! The city of the dead. From the haunted Cemeteries. To the French quarter to the garden district. There is no place like it to me. I was in love with New Orleans the moment I stepped on those streets..
So leaving Louisiana I made my way up to Alabama and caught a full body apparition on camera. At a abandoned insane asylum
That place creeped me out. I didn’t want to go in. But I did. That place was in shambles and dangerous…. But I ventured in anyways. Risks I tell ya… walking Into the front lobby I said Hello and a couple spirits were caught on my phone just filming back and forth. To me it was epic! And the fact that it was around 10 in the morning. Ghosts come out in the day as well…
That trip taught me so much
It was a risk I had to take… To just go. To see it first hand. To try and capture evidence. To do what I set out to do was such a accomplishment. And like I said before
Worth the risk..

Hollys Haunts

Holly, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m a Waitress by day Paranormal investigator by night.
I’ve been at this my whole life. I try to explain to people I come at this as a skeptic. And truly try to find the truth
unless other investigators. I go for the facts. The folklore is fun. But I’m after the truth and facts. And if places are really “HAUNTED”

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
To find evidence of the paranormal. I want to think there is life after death. There is something after we die
We don’t just close our eyes and that’s it…
Another realm. Another spiritual place.
Maybe it’s heaven…
Maybe it’s another place. Where ever it is I believe there is something there.
And from what I’ve learned and seen with my own two eyes. Ghosts do exist.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
Don’t believe everything you read or hear. I’m learning so many legends of hauntings are simply just not true. And we need to debunk the fake stories and stick to the facts. Actual people and records of those people. And how they lived and how they died
So many rumors get started.
And we need to unlearn the urban legends and stick to the truth.
