We recently connected with Heaven Vrana and have shared our conversation below.

Heaven, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What did your parents do right and how has that impacted you in your life and career?

The first thing, they raised me in a small town. I learned community very quickly, That you can not just write people off, or not lend a helping hand or ear, because it’s a community of people that make the world go round. We are here for each other, and that goes deep into who I am today. I lean on a community of people in my life to run my business, and also to live my life. We all need each other in this game of life, more now than ever, and I am so grateful for growing up in small town Midwest for instilling this attitude in my heart.

My father always preached, I can be and do anything that I want. I was always allowed to express my individuality, explore who I am, and be creative. At a young age my cousin and I started filming YouTube Videos, (No, I will never share the username for that) but, my father bought us our first video camera. My parents were always taking us on adventures, to see new places, and appreciate this place we call home. Now I see my life through that creative lens, and am so curious about other places, people, and stories.

Lastly, they faced the hard stuff. My younger sister and I went through some dark times in our teens, and my parents showed up the best the could for all of it. This taught me a lot about resilience, and how sometimes all you can do is face what’s in front of you, see it through, and make it to the other side. Which in business and in life has probably been my greatest strength.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

I am a Holistic Healer & Inner Work Coach.

The way I stumbled into this is a little odd, I was in nursing school back in 2017. All I had ever wanted was to help others, and figured my route to that would be nursing. I realized quickly that there were parts of the medical system I didn’t agree with nor liked putting my energy into. I wanted to help people with the root of their problems, seeing these physical manifestations as emotional roots. Once I realized I needed a different approach to healing, I started to dive into Holistic Healing, & Yogic Philosophy. First we must heal ourselves, to share the experience, at that point in time I was 2 years clean & in recovery and on many antipsychotics, and SSRI’s to help with the mental health symptoms of long term drug use. I started to apply these practices to my life, changed my lifestyle, meditation, diet, work out routine, life, and was able to get off all medications. I am still on my healing journey, as is everyone else, yet with such crazy transformation in my own life, I vowed to help others find these same results.

I have taken my Usui Reiki II, Sound Healing Training, Intuitive Training, and currently in my 200 hour Inner Work Yoga Teacher Training with Mat & Ash of the Sacred Yoga Institute.

I have many offerings, currently out in the community, I am hosting sound baths and yoga.
Currently, at Loveland Massage and Aesthetics in Loveland, Colorado we host Sunday Sound Bath’s, every 2nd Sunday of the month at 3:00pm. We are currently on our 7 month chakra series, starting with root April 9th at 3:00pm, where we teach you about each chakra, how to work with it, heal it, followed by a meditation and sound bath!

Spilling the Tea with Tarot and Sound at Soulshine Botanical & Gifts in Loveland, CO is a new moon ceremony mixed with tea, tarot, and crystal bowls. Setting intentions, and welcoming the new moon energy is starts Wednesday, April 19th at 6:00pm

At Live Beyond Limit in Fort Collin’s I will be hosting Inner Work Yoga, Mondays @ 5:30pm, this will be trauma informed yoga class, a meeting on your mat. We will be focused on living in alignment with our values, and a life of recovery, whether that be from substance abuse, mental health, trauma, grief or just looking to live life more conscious. As a part to what I offer in the community, I also offer private sound baths, tarot readings, reiki, & 1:1 yoga classes.

I want to help others find their own frequency, their own energy. To tap into their own alignment and realize how beautiful life can really get, when we get out of our own way. My calling is to help people through the hard stuff, the grief, I have been through all of it, and truly believe if I can, we all can too.

Currently in the works is a 1:1 Client Sessions – this would be a 3 month, 6, month, or 1 year container where I will be working with clients 1:1 to help with doing their own personal inner work, transforming themselves and their lives from the inside, out. Guiding clients through a series of modalities and process to help heal the mind, and help my clients reparenting themselves

And, a Group Tarot Workshop, where I will be teaching others how to heal their intuition by using tarot as a healing tool, and modality to connected deeper. This won’t just be about learning Tarot, but about a deeper understanding of how you perceive the world around you, in turn giving you the power to shift your own reality.

Have you ever had to pivot?

In 2021 my business was one year old. I was working a full time job that didn’t pay enough, while trying to keep a business alive and thriving. My mental health was suffering, and I was exhausted constantly. One day I realized I hadn’t even had time to call my sister back in days, and I was fed up. In a rash decision I decided to quit my full time job and through everything into my business. At that time my business was not making a profit.

I tried so many different things, but wasn’t able to pay for the certifications that I wanted to launch myself to the next level. We were struggling to make ends meet at home, I wasn’t able to travel for work, my car was starting to fall apart, and health insurance was something I desperately needed.

In 2022 I took another full time job, with a much better company at a higher rate of pay. I was TERRIFIED that this was going to back track me in my business, and I was starting from the bottom again. And I won’t lie for the first 5 to 6 months I wasn’t able to pour much back into my business. I was learning a new skill in a new area, and falling into a new schedule.

Now, I have found a lot of balance in doing both, my business turned a profit as of last year.. I have been able to pay for the different things I need to keep my business growing, and hope in the near future won’t need the full time gig anymore.

Sometimes it is two steps back to go two steps forward.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?

I got hooked on speed when I was 18, I found a group of friends that liked to party, and moved in. I didn’t know what I was getting into when it happened, but I don’t think any of us do.

I smoked and eventually would start shooting for 2 years. For that 2 years I found myself in sketchy situations, illegal dealings, friends almost dying, no money, no food, and my family wanted absolutely nothing to do with me.

They tried, but by the time I got clean everyone was done trying. I had found myself alone with no where to go, I know that I either needed to get clean or I was going to die, or worse, end up in prison.

On March 19th 2015 I check myself into rehab for the last time. I lived in a half house for another year, got a job, saved money, go my license back and a new car. Started to become a productive human being again, and eventually moved my mom in with me to help with my sister.

Resilience to me, is coming back from a dark space, not unchanged, but changed for the better.
