Haydee, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
Hi, there! HR Creations started of by creating personalized birthday. I would design, print and cut personalized birthday banners, candy bar labels, invitations, party hats among others. After creation numerous birthdays, baby showers and other activities, I started taking a shift towards the sugar world.
I started thinking to my self why not be a one stop shop? I started watching YouTube videos and gaining more and more interest in doing cakes. I then took a basic course in my home town and the journey began!!!
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
After taking a basic course in my hometown, I started doing cakes for my family and friends! At the beginning my cakes were not that great but that did not stop me. I kept practicing and showing improvement. After a while, we decided to move to Houston Tx where I had to start letting my self be known by others. I started taking cakes to work so my coworkers can try them out and every time I did a new recipe I would take it to work and would get feedback. HR creations started to grow by word of mouth and till this day, I still have customers that request for me to ship out cookies all the way to Houston, TX.
How did you build your audience on social media?
I believe that your work speaks for itself. You can really tell a lot about a product or service from the very moment you start interacting with a potential client. Attention is key, making sure all the details are discussed before making the final closing quotes and performing and delivering a great product where it shows your love and passion for what you do, is what will make others want your products because they see the experience of others.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
Consistency and organization. Plan ahead of time what you want to target next. Be mindful of special dates and celebration. Show behind the scenes process ect.
