We were lucky to catch up with Goodie Supreme recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Goodie thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Looking back, what’s an important lesson you learned at a prior job?
I was working for this company. My boss had been on this job, I’d say, maybe 15+ years. They fell ill one day mid shift. Before they were in the hospital good, the company was already asking me to take their position.
I learned a few things that day. First, take them days off, perfect attendance means absolutely nothing if you die on the job…
You are expendable, despite what you may think. If you don’t own that establishment, you can and will be (if needed) replaced.
Always be ready for change. Continue to learn new skills. You’ never know when you’ll be called on to do more. Always be ready to step up.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m an independent music artist from Macon, GA. I have music on all streaming platforms. Type in Goodie Supreme and you’ll see everything musical I have to offer. I also have custom t-shirts you can purchase by contacting me through my social media links.
Good For Nothing is a brand that means “Do the good for nothing”. When no one is watching, for no publicity. Just do good. Too often we see ppl recording their good deeds in the hopes of going viral. Even if you’re getting consent, what person in dire need is going to turn you down from filming them?
Dreams Need Love Too is about never giving up on something you believe in. Pour into yourself as well as your kids. Dare your children to dream big and see their vision as well as you see your own. Encourage their dreams as much as you encourage their school work.

How did you build your audience on social media?
Slow diet of content and constant promotion… you never want to overwhelmingly tag ppl on social media. Well, I never want to be overwhelmed with tags. Most times ppl like the post but never truly engage or pay attention to what they’re tagged in.. some often remove the tag immediately or turn off the notifications. If you post enough, they’ll see it. Everyday, post something about your business. Do commercials, post your content. It will be seen. Do not post for likes. Post for visibility. If McDonalds runs commercials everyday all day, being the successful business that they are.. what makes you think you are exempt from doing the same?

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Word of mouth. Nothing spreads faster than gossip. If you’re able to create something where ppl will talk about it positively outside of your presence, you have something solid.
